wow! thats very impressive. good job getting into northeastern!!! one of the craziest acceptance rates and you made it, what an accomplishment
@RebeccaStropoli4 ай бұрын
You might not believe it, but Northeastern used to be one of the easiest schools to get into -- it was essentially open enrollment. It's insane how things have changed in this realm.

@@RebeccaStropoliyeah they gamed the us news system to get higher ranking and appear more elite. College rankings are mostly bullshit.
@iwanttoleave63052 ай бұрын
Northeastern purposefully deflates their acceptance rates by rejecting people who they think are overqualified. Its not difficult to get in and their tuition is absurdly high. She still got into some fantastic schools and I think those would be better to attend than NEU.

Congratulations 🎉 Did you apply for Early Decision at UConn? I applied for Early Decision this November and I’m yet to get my decision even though it’s 18th. I know I’m to be patient but I can’t help being paranoid😭
@lizzie.levins21 күн бұрын
Thank you! No, I did not apply ED at UConn but I applied by Nov 1 so that I could apply for their other scholarships. Hope your decision comes out soon and good luck!
@tommyaddy19 күн бұрын
@ So because you applied by the November 1 deadline, your decision came out in January?
@lizzie.levins16 күн бұрын
@tommyaddy it was because I got the scholarship that I found out in January--if I didn't get the scholarship, I would've probably found out a bit later, like March I think

Hey, can can you make a video on how to get a good sat score
@huhhhhhh52254 ай бұрын
dont think she can give you tips, because she (probably) took the paper version. however, if you want to get a good SAT score, keep practicing, try to learn all the grammar rules, learn all 34 formulas for SAT math and how to implement them, learn how to use the DESMOS graphing calculator (its very useful), learn how to analyze reading texts and find the best answer with evidence, and finally, learn how to manage your time in sections of the SAT (like dont spend too much time on hard questions). good luck on the august SAT (if youre taking it)!
@lizzie.levins4 ай бұрын
I took an SAT prep class and I took the test twice, one on paper and one on a computer. I did better on the second one because I wasn't stressed about it, since I was happy with my first score (1410). I'm honestly not sure about other tips I can give besides practicing the lengthy test sessions because it's hard to get used to. Good luck!

How do you get a 7.8 gpa?
@lizzie.levins4 ай бұрын
that is just the way my school's weighted GPA works. It just goes up to that if you get straight A+s in all classes
@Hannahgal112 ай бұрын
Yeah my school weighted the highest you could get with AP classes is only a 6.0
@Hannahgal112 ай бұрын
Your unweighted score can not be higher than a 4.0
@lizzie.levins2 ай бұрын
at my high school, it went up to 4.5
@Hannahgal112 ай бұрын
@lizzie.levins how? College GPA Is the same you are only able to get a 4.0. I guess different states have different rules but that is very strange
@lizzie.levins2 ай бұрын
@@Hannahgal11 honestly I don't completely know how it works. All I know is that every school does their own thing. Some schools have their GPA on a 4.0 scale, mine went to 4.5, and some schools don't even use GPA--they only have a scale of 0-100 to rank the students academically. there's no real consistency to it, which is why colleges usually emphasize looking at students in the context of the high school they came from (how they did relative to their classmates)
