I hope AI doesn’t take over the cozy game space. I feel like we already have a sad amount of half assed, cash grab games and that would only make it worse. I would rather just replay my old games than read dialogue made by a computer.

As a lifetime Nintendo girlie, I have doubts of a new Animal Crossing game coming out even in 2025. If they did start creating a new game because of the hype from New Horizons, it would still be a long time creation because they'd have to really think about how to make a perfect new installment. Nintendo is the perfectionist monster of a company for a reason lol

not really a prediction, but i HOPE this year is moving more towards unique cozy games, like jusant, season: a letter to the future, spirit farer. The farm sim is just so over saturated now, she needs her rest in 2024

Tomodachi Life on Switch. Please Nintendo! It’s all I want!!! Also I personally hope we don’t see AI stuff in cozy games. While I don’t mind AI as a tool to assist there’s just no soul behind AI “art” and the like. Since we know humans are behind many cozy games you can feel the passion they’ve put into the game. AI has no passion, just profit.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get the Switch 2 in time for this year's holiday sales. That being said, it will be interesting to see what games they announce throughout the year (especially next month on Pokemon Day)! Speaking of Pokemon...wild prediction here...an announcement this year of a cozy Pokemon game! (tbh, Pokemon is totally cozy for me already, but a game specifically made with widely held cozy conventions)

Reporting from the future, Stardew 1.6 has come out and is fantastic. So many fun elements were added and in sheer numbers it’s drawing in peak concurrency on Steam over 2x its prior peak. Concerned Ape even tweeted today that he has a bug release coming soon that will even add a bit more.

For anyone wondering my older nintendogs from my sister is nintendogs ds which was released in 2005 and the one I got with my Nintendo is nintendogs 3ds which cane out in 2011 , and I still play both from time to time

I'm really hoping for that Nintendogs game, though if it does get slated for a new console I hope they make a version for the current Switch as well (I *just* got mine this year), as they sometimes do with late previous console/early new console games at Nintendo. I don't think a new Animal Crossing will come out or be announced this year, however. Generally speaking, AC games don't really end, so there's no reason to rush a new one into the first couple years of a new console, it can and probably will wait until the Switch's successor has been out at least two years.

The minute fantasy life the girl who steals time comes out I will get the Nintendo switch for it which I have been holding out on getting because it’s pricy. I remember playing the original on the ds game and loving it. I miss playing this game so much! I remember looking for other games similar to it and never finding something that scratched the same itch as fantasy life.

18:14 , I still have this game on my old DC and still play it every now and then , I've got a Maltese called princess , a tabby called Bella and a begal named lemon ❤ ive also got the older version that belonged to my older sister before 3D was even a thing on the Nintendo, she had 6 dogs which I now every so often pug in to take care of , more than a decade later and I still love and cherish my Nintendo pets😊

I hate when AI uses people's work without permission, like most AI-generated art is. However, I agree with your point that AI generated dialogue could be really amazing. They can still program a character's personality to direct the AI dialogue, but it would definitely deepen players' connection to NPCs. I just hope the rest of the game is actually made by people, not by AI that just steals other people's work. I have enjoyed Palia so far, but it has a lot of bugs that they need to fix. But I think I could really get into a truly collaborative cozy MMO. But I want to be able to freely trade with other players. I thought Palia was going to allow me to just play the aspects I wanted and skip the others, but no, I have to do every skill if I want to complete quests. I'm still hopeful Palia will get there, or another game will pop up that will do what I want. I'm really looking forward to Fantasy Life! If it runs smoothly on Switch, I can totally see it being game of the year! If there's a new Switch, they better make it backwards compatible so I can play my current games on it. Surprisingly, I didn't play Animal Crossing at all in 2023. I got bored of it. But in 2021 and 2022, ACNH was my most played game. It would be great to have a new game. I don't have any predictions. I do expect a lot of Steam games to come to the Switch. I just hope more of them actually run well on the Switch than most of the ports that were released last year.

I love playing farm/ zoo games. Is there any good farming games. I have the stardew valley, some of the harvest moons. Some of the story of seasons games. Can i plz get more that are on the switch. I tryed to find moonstone game but its no where in the store?

I’d love to see games incorporate AI into their NPC dialogues - I feel like if done well it would add such a layer of realism and ability to add new content/dialogues without as much work for the developer. Like imagine a super dummed down chat gpt meets sims type dialogue where you can select the general topic you want to discuss and then they can respond based on your past interactions. Idk I’m sure it would have downsides but it just seems like it would be a super immersive way to play a cozy game
