It's a net gain, more than anything. I am one of those people who doesn't just spam smite until I run out of spell slots, so having it limited doesn't effect me a lot. Too bad it takes a bonus action now, though. I don't like that spell slots are more limited. I liked being able to have more slots available if my charisma was high.

Not the biggest fan of the nerfs. Some I understand and I could live with, but making it a spell makes it possible to interrupt/counterspell and we used to only get 5th lvl spells. Some monsters like Tianat is immune to that. I am very curious on how they will handle that.

@@d20play Right! Counterspell and what not could end up being bad for paladins. We shall see when we know more. Also sorry for the bad spelling. I think I corrected most now on the previous comment.

Lots of improvements, better class, feats and spell balance. fuszzy rules have been clarified and clunky rules have been streamlioned. CANT WAIT! If they do this 10 years form now with this kind of improvement and ill buy that one too!
