E-Save is weird, but I think its functioning like a 1st gen Chevy Volt's Mountain Mode. It makes sure your battery is always charged enough to use all the power/AWD, and it'll prefer to use the engine over the electric motor. But it will still use the electric motor when its more efficient if it has enough charge. There should be a better indication (like Chevy greying out part of the battery bar) or at least better documentation so you know what's going on.

Sport mode charges the battery pretty fast.

Bought the 2024 GT with the Track Pack option in the Blue Bayou paint scheme. Don't like those bold red seats on the version you reviewed. Perhaps the only thing I don't like is that everything is drive by wire: steering, gas, braking. For me, it's talen a month to get used to how the Hornet handles/performs.

I love these because no one's gonna buy them and I'll be able to pick one up for 12 grand in a few years.

You can get these for 23k now with incentives, they over produced them.

Original price $53,000. Now $23,000? $30,000 off? Really? Best I can find is $4,500 in incentives.

@@MikesCarInfo I stand corrected, 26k, at Bob Moore Jeep Dodge in Oklahoma City, this included an 8,000 total cash rebates and a $10,500 discount, for the RT not the plus. Still, that is way down. Horrible marketing by Stelantis. The name Hornet is horrible as this is more upscale (essentially the Alpha Romero), loads of tech. They screwed up going woke over night with the EV push when they could have kept the Hemi platform for a couple of more years for the new Charger then eased into it. Had they rolled this out when the Demons and Hellcats were hot, did a better badge for it, they might have had more interest as it out performs most of its competitors.

better off witht the normal non ev as the ev has govern of 123 mph the gas one can do 140 + the gas one is AWD THE EV IS NOT AWD when the electric is running its rear wheel drive so no power no all wheel drive the gas runs the front of the car and the back is ran by electric kind of weird id the eltric is a bit faster but with 30 miles rang not very long the l4 2 liter still faster then a Durango v8 dont get the EV

Not everyone care about top speed. For someone like me. A plug in is perfect since I drive under 20 miles a day but if I do drive more occasionally there is no range anxiety like an electric car so I can take it on road trips !

I wonder what kind of incentives KZbinrs are being paid to put in a good word for this piece of crap car. Doesn’t even deserve the Dodge name IMHO.

At least it has a decent dashboard compared to a Charger which is so outdated and really ugly! Regarding the Drive Assist feature, the Hornet RT Plus and GT Plus have level 2 autonomous driving. I don't have an RT but I do have a GT Plus Black Top and it's a great vehicle!
