Basically, as with the 10 mark questions, your point will always be with the question e.g. exciting and dramatic etc.

how are we supposed to be a human dictionary when we don't know what the word means?

Do not pick out any word in the reading exam where you don’t know what it means. The extract is a page and a half. They’ll be lots of other quotes and words you can analyse.
