tbh idrt u need to have the most creative ideas ever, ofc if u want to u can, but personally i focus more on the language. Like once in class for an assessment we had to write a gothic story and i used the most boring plot ever but i still got the highest grade possible cuz of my use of language ofc this varies from teacher to teacher and ur own preference but i still believe that if u cant think of ideas, as long as u can hook the reader w ur words the actual plot doesnt have to be so jaw dropping

Hi, I used to be very bad at maths but what I did was do past papers even if I barely knew what to do, then mark it and watch gcsemaths tutor or watch the past paper walkthrough video on it on mathsgenie. I would then attempt the question again. When you do a past paper, Usually the first 10 questions are like the easiest, they are from grade 3-7 probably, so if you are struggling with maths I would highly suggest practicing these first 10 questions on like any past paper you can find so you can be very confident in them. If you are doing the higher paper and just want to pass then Id suggest you aim for at least 35 marks in each paper. Just know that maths is just learn and practise. No flashcards or notes needed. Some things you should use other than past papers: Mathsgenie mini tests Corbett maths 5 a day Corbett maths is doing a 100 days till maths gcse series where everyday he goes through a topic (obviously its not 100 days anymore but its still helpful and you can look through past videos in the series) For science id recomend doing pastpapers (literally if you dont know content still do it) and then write everything you got wrong (write the question out and the answer next to it) and then if a question you got wrong you just forgot the answer: then you just have to remember that if you didnt understand the question at all: go and read savemyexams/cognito/freesciencelessons on it the next time you do this method and write down the stuff you got wrong, if its similar to the previous paper you did, HIGHLIGHT it (it shows its not really in your head yet) then repeat this method and you should be able to only have like a page or two for each science on things you dont really remember in the exam. Now you are going to put this into flashcards, read it over or something before the actual GCSE exam like even before you enter the venue look at the sheet (also condense it so make signs for words (e.g and is a + and then is a -) This method of revising is quite good as you get exam practise, and you know what you know and dont know and so you dont have to go through a whole topic if you just dont know some of it or like half If you would like any further help here is my discord: penquin.com

Hii, I'm sitting my GCSEs this summer too dw, I was also flopping math till a few weeks ago, I really think the best thing u can do is past papers, even if u have no clue of the topics, try it, then not only can u see what u don't know, but also learn techniques (by looking at the mark scheme). So many maths papers have super similar questions for topics, so once u learn how to do the exam style questions, it can really boost ur mark! Usually, the first 17ish questions are the easiest place to rack up marks, and from then on, it gets more difficult, but if u get those first 17 questions fully, and a few marks after that, ur going to end up with a good mark! Just keep practicing!! Good luck for ur exams!!

Question 1 realistically takes two minutes, spend the other three minutes to underlines quotes. A little tip I personally don't need but found has helped others is to take a quick flick through questions 2-4 of the paper so that you can easily underline quotations which you know are relevant to the question. I read an examiner feedback and one thing mentioned in both Language papers is that pupils identify techniques but not how they relate or support the point made prior. Also, use subject terminology, meaning not just MOPSAVESHOP! You can make mention of a simple noun or verb, but if you analyse it properly you'll find it's much more fruitful.

A tip for the creative writing that might help some people: My teacher says if you can, try to write about an unexpected meaning of the prompt. For example, if you were told to write about a race, don’t just write a predictable description of someone winning a running race or something. Take it as a metaphor or think about a deeper meaning, write about the race between life and death or something. Writing something unusual / somewhat deep will make your piece stand out more Make your writing interesting because examiners mark hundreds of these, yours has gotta stand out to them which will make it seem more appealing and well written

i know i’m not ani but my fav/best subject is geography and i get pretty good grades in it so here are my tips: • KNOW YOUR CASE STUDIES - literally learn as many facts as possible • practice papers/ past paper questions • make sure to write a conclusion for 6 markers as you often can’t get full marks without • always link back to the question (i literally repeat the question like 20 times to show that i am answering it)

If only I’d seen this before Monday😭 I’m confident in Macbeth but not as much in a Christmas Carol For Macbeth I was really confident in the topic (was literally Lady Macbeth it was perfect) so I wrote 4 full pages (somehow) and I had a lot of content and specific details, but I didn’t ramble on either. But in A Christmas Carol I only wrote a page and three quarters, didn’t get to finish because I timed Macbeth wrong (which is a consistent problem for me in essay-based exams, I did the same thing in drama and history), and I feel like I waffled on a lot about things because I started stressing about running out of time so didn’t think at all about the structure of the essay

I got sooo pissed at the unseen poetry bit cause I had no quacking clue what a "scaffolding" was, cause I was proper dumb back then but I had an idea about what it was, from looking at the context. + I got even more pissed that the comparative bit was using, "my last duchess", as it was the only poem I properly revised to compare the poem given with MY LAST FREAKING DUCHESS.
