Wow what a great review not to mention that rig. Hope your ride review is out. I will look for it now. I have monthly payments going toward the Dust Moto which should be available next Summer but was looking at Artic Leopard in the meantime. Seeing one of the EM's at a showroom it must looked tiny but if you can ride it then I will have to reconsider looking at the newest ones again. Thanks for the info.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. No GoPro footage as of now as a desert is just too hot! Currently at the beach for the rest of the summer will be back out in the desert in October! Congratulations on the dust Moto. It looks really good! I will say the EM is more tailored towards extreme terrain and kind of like a long travel Trials motorcycle. Stark I love for technical track but as the single track, it’s tougher and more rocky with bigger climbs. I definitely prefer to be on the EM. The arctic leopards look really good also and so many good platforms to pick from! I think there’s enough motorcycles out in the electric arena that you can really tell them to your style where you want to ride! I never rule out the SurRon line up either! Hopefully this answers some of your questions and I’m always here to bounce ideas off of! Cheers!

Cool setup, I just traded in my epure race for the new factor-e. Super excited about all the improvements they’ve made!

Thank you so much! I’m really happy with the EM escape XR but I really feel like it’s going to be my Trials bike. I just got my stark Varg and it is an absolute blast to ride! a different beast all together, but I absolutely love to ride both platforms! Congratulations on your factor e!

@@TRCa51 amazing time to be alive as the performance/cost ratio becomes competitive with ICE motors. It was getting crazy cheap for large lithium ion battery setups as well but that'll be changing this july when the 27% tariff hits.

I watched your video a few times and liked some of your suggestions. I ride a 2023 Escape R and been riding it for a 1 1/2 year. I am eyeing the 2024 you profiled. I rode today and lost the clutch on a fall and had to walk the bike home. Not fun. I have a finger on the clutch but never use it. I like your idea of a rear brake as a better option for tough trail riding.
@TRCa517 ай бұрын
I just did a video today on the left-hand rear brake set up on the electric motion and I removed the clutch master cylinder and lever off the bike. I ordered a Stark Varg left-hand rear brake kit for 300 and change. The brake caliper doesn’t match up, but it was a nice option. I tried to bend the line to get it to work, but it broke so I had to have a new line made but I absolutely love having that left-hand rear break up on the bars! Thank you for reaching out. I really appreciate you And I hope you’re enjoying your as much as I enjoy mine!

Very nice bike and incredibly nice expedition. What size tires are on it?
@TRCa517 ай бұрын
The tires measure out right at 46 inches! It’s super nice to go down the road and when you pulling off in the dirt, you can air down from in the cab with a central tire and inflation system! I had the truck regeared with highway gears and why they’re in there the back to have a Detroit style locker in them. I didn’t want to get the things stuck!

Great vid😎Did you consider the X versus the XR and what SURRON were you riding out of curiosity
@TRCa517 ай бұрын
I did go back-and-forth with the X to the XR. I was able to get the XR a little sooner the Sur Ron was the light Bee, I had two built up really nice with 1821 combo off the top of my head. I went with the 8000 controller and then a bigger battery. I love the ability to be able to swap out the batteries with the Sur Ron but it always seemed like the frame set up-and swing arm light it wanted to blow away the rear wheel and technical situations. The XR frame comes straight from the Trials motorcycle, which the foot pegs are located further back, which allows you to hold pressure on the back tire better. They’re all great bikes, and I love the parts availability on the Sur Ron but love the way EM works!

I’ve never heard anyone on planet earth say “I prefer a torquey 450 for extreme enduro over a 300”
@TRCa513 ай бұрын
There are a few of us, but not many that would say that! But if you look at how many four strokes are racing, Enduro cross then you start to see where it could make sense. It just puts down a smoother power and find traction! I had my 300 and my 450 both with a recluse clutch set up and I just found the 450 found better traction! Thank you for taking the time to comment!.

@@TRCa51that’s the thing, you don’t need a rekluse for the 300 it doesn’t stall. That’s endurocross. Technical riding is 300 ALL DAY LONG. NO ONE in hard enduro is riding a 450. It’s an absolute miserable bike to ride in anything difficult and I ride a 250. They are so smooth on power and can lug putting so much traction to the ground
@TRCa513 ай бұрын
@josephflaherty3918 I’m super familiar with the 300 as I owned five of them and always had one in my stable but chose to ride the 450xc f 6 speed. Out of my five times racing king of the motors. I only chose the two stroke one time. I did have good luck on the two-stroke and the Enduro cross, but I feel before stroke still puts down better power. I know I don’t have the popular opinion but to each there own. For now I choose to develop the Stark Varg and the electric motion for technical riding.

Hey, Liked the video. I got the same bike and weigh about 230 lbs (hopefully losing some more weight!) You said you were going to change out the springs in the forks but not the shock? E-Motion only has 2 choices a -200 and +200 lbs spring rate. Is this what you used or did you find a better option? Thanks!
@TRCa51Ай бұрын
I went with the 200 pound plus and I’m super happy with the set up but I do like a stiff set up. About 233 or so in gear and finally I feel like the bike is set up for me. I also bought the heavy duty rear spring, but found that wasn’t necessary to balance things out. The forks were very soft and the shock felt good from the factory. Hope this helps if not hit me up with another one! Cheers brother congratulations on an awesome bike!

@@TRCa51 Looks like that is the only option is the 200# plus springs. Did you replace them yourself? Any special tools needed? Can't find any tutorials on the Fastace set up.
@TRCa5127 күн бұрын
I went with the 200+ Springs. Basically unscrew the top cap and then you have to pull it a little bit out of the fork compress the spring, and then remove the cap from the tube and that’ll give you access to the Spring and it’ll come out. The 200+ Spring is thick and you have to kind of wiggle it to get it down over the shaft put it together. It took me about two hours and I wouldn’t call in an easy process. Here to help if you get stuck.

I'm curious about the performance of the front fork
@TRCa518 ай бұрын
I think the fort works really well for what the intended use of the motorcycle is. Meaning that it’s not a motocross fork. It’s an extreme Enduro or what I would call an upgraded Trials type fork that works really well. For myself being 235 I do need to re-bring it but I never really ran into any occasions it just sucked to ride. I like to ride on this bike would be more like a first and second thing on a 32 stroke. Hope this helps!

Tim nice informative vid good job as always question what’s the bike weigh??
@TRCa518 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! From what I’m told in the specs, it weighs right at 200 pounds. It actually feels lighter than that when you’re working your way up a technical section. On the downhill, I had no problem, squeezing the front break and moving the rear end over to a more desired position. Thank you for taking the time to comment! I still appreciate you! Cheers!

I see that the Electric Motion website now has the 2025 Epure listed. The 2025 Epures now a torque value of 1400nm and a 4-spd gearbox. Note that my 2023 EscapeR has a torque of 600nm and the 2024 Escape XR a torque of 700nm. I do like the the current 2024 Escapes are equipped, but now I may need to see how the 2025 Escapes will be equipped.

@rdrg7362 that would be disappointing if I didn’t really love the motor that’s in the 24. Super happy with the performance of the bike! I was a little disappointed that they came up with a new shock and new fork just weeks after I receive mine. I still need to do something about adding stiffer fork springs.

How can they call a motorcycle an XR. Doesn't Honda have a trademark on that?
@TRCa518 ай бұрын
Electric motion is out of Spain and I don’t know if that happens to phone the same deal as the XR Honda. My honest answer is I have no idea, but I do believe the XR stands for extended range. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
