Is it known where the capstone was actually quarried? And of course how it got to its position high on the hill? I think you said it was 25 tons? Nobody can come up with a credible answer. Why drag the stones up the hill- why not construct it on a flat site to make life easier? This is the puzzle. Thanks Cara!

They think it was quarried locally. But how they got it into position no body is sure. I guess the monument were placed here because that people could see for miles, and those heading there could see it, possible. :-)

Art Imleach lived between 1020 and 760 BC. Tales of “Arthur” are almost certainly based on the various High Kings of Ireland who carried the familial name of Art across several unconnected generations. The Line of Rulers based at Strathclyde were drawn from these same dynasties, spreading the Arthurian line to the Scots. It is appalling that the British try to claim this historic figure as their own. Celtic history and the documented history of the Irish and Scots has been suppressed by the English Crown in an attempt to repaint the history of the Isles. Sites such as these were likely never visited by the historic Art Imleach or Art Mac Cuinn.
