Its flip flopped about 4 times this season between ferrari and mercedes on whos going to be mclarens closest challenger. Ferrari are on a good run atm as merc were up to monza. Wouldn't be surprised to see it flip flop again come austin

This is nuts, DRS zone turn_13 - turn_14 is completely unnecessary, IMO, because most overtakes previously were done at the end of the first sector where the speeds are the highest.

@@alpha007org 🤷‍♂️I’m not surprised. It is a city course that is also quite narrow most of the way through. How else would FOM get their quota of overtakes? The city tracks in general are pretty annoying for the most part. Maybe make a good show during qualifying (would be an even better show if the cars qualied one by one), but that’s about it. Like Las Vegas last year - people said it was such a great race b/c it had lots of over takes, but what would you expect with a) massive masssiiiveee straights b) straights leading into 90 degree corners, often tight ones & c) cold weather? honestly, at this rate I’m surprised there isn’t a drs zone between T9 & T10

Singapore can be a nightmare on foot in that weather! Don't know how people handle that humid sticky weather all year round, chucks it down with rain randomly like 20 times a day too! Still a great place along with Malaysia, truly comes alive at night. Infinity pools galore!

I am from Suriname, also close to the equator. I sometimes work on roofs, the top of your shoes get very hot. Avoid dark coulourd shoe's. If your feet get hot, your whole body will.

Great coverage as always Peter and topped off with a fantastic backdrop this time! Certainly very interesting your points made about Adrian and also Red Bulls current performance. With regards to Adrian’s departure, many speculate that he knows where the bodies are buried hence Eddie negotiating a short gardening leave etc. So similarly if whatever happened left a bad taste in his mouth he has just walked away, or maybe even ran?! I believe it was yourself that made the clever point that Adrian is far more than the designer. He sits on the pit wall and listens to the driver feedback during practice sessions. Then he correlates that into the physical changes on the car. With Max being their primary concern it’s tweaked to his liking, and now without Adrian Red Bull have effectively lost their interpreter?

I love Singapore. First visited 20 odd years ago. This is going to be a great race! Ferrari and McLaren will take another bunch of points out of Max’s lead. Lando needs to prove his worthiness to be top driver at MCL, as there’s a very good chance that Oscar will prove that there are two number one drivers in the papaya garage.

I don't think it's clearcut between Leclerc and Norris. Norris seemed to suggest that he put in quite a lot to get his lap and he seems a bit weary that Leclerc might have some more in hand.

Danny is not performing as bad as other drivers. He does not deserve to be sacked before season's end. He has outperformed Yuki 7 out of the last 10 races by 5-6 grid places. WTF.... He has performed as good as the car can. If the car was better in the last 10 races, he would be out scoring Yuki..... The car hasn't been good enough to score points.... again 7 to 3 to danny in the last 10...

I agree in general. but yuki has had 2 dnfs in the last two races that weren't really his fault. And I think Danny knew what he signed up for, he was never meant to be there for a long time, but to perform well enough to get the call-up. And while I don't think he deserves to be chucked out, he also hasn't performed well enough for red bull. and I am of the obinion that vcarb should be a junior team, so I personally would prefer lawson to get the seat over ricciardo, but for ricciardo to finish the season at least.

With respect to Adrian Newey, the big thing from interviews with him sounds like things changing after Dietrich Mateschitz passing. RB becoming corporate and internal politics prevailing over sensibility. Ok, so I ran a lot of simulations and I have come up with surprising results. Putting it out here, let's see how it pans out! 1. The title fight for 2024 will come down to Piastri vs Leclerc in the final race. It is 50/50 between them with 7 races to go and 182 points [(25+1)*7] on the table. 2. Norris will not be in the fray because of his driving style, but his points will lead McLaren to the Constructors' Championship (Ferrari 2nd). Have based this on many sims with tons of data input.
