an underrated not very tested coating that i keep going back to is Wolfgang PROFI ceramic coating. Its not the slickest but its very easy to apply and level and its lasted now almost 3 years on a vehicle applied after purchase. Ive also done washes on it every 2 to 3 weeks including using apcs iron x and descale a handful of times. still working and beading strong in south florida heat humidity and rain. must try if you never have. but i use Cancoat evo and Adams advanced graphene spray coating on most customers cars .. apply in 10 15 minutes and good for a year. never fails.. super easy .. beads like nothing else

I might have mentioned it before on another video, I've got the Carpro stack on one on my cars, its been on since new and that was 2.5 years ago and still behaves like day one, mind you its stored under cover and has only done 3000miles. Dquartz on my other car, which is doing well. I applied Halo V2 on the PPF and that has failed after 8 months- not impressed by Gtechiq. My GF has an MX-5 that I've got Pan's 8 year coating for, I'm waiting for a day that's warm enough to apply as it's 9°C here in the UK and is expected to get colder. I've got high expectations for Pan's and will likely apply it to the PPF on my car with Dquartz on the areas without PPF. Carpro just makes solid products that I trust. I doubt I'll use Gtechiq Halo V2 again. High hopes for Pan's 8 year coating. His paint sealant is amazing for a short-term coating. I really like how warm it makes the paintwork, which makes me look forward to applying his 8 year 👍

Hi Mike I applied cq uk3 on my car 2 layers and topped it with reload 2.0 an hour after but I applied it outside, It’s been 2 months and its performance is really bad ? What did I do wrong and what should I do? Thank you
@MikeGDetailingАй бұрын
@@ase826 one of the risks about applying a coating outside is the potential for moisture to interfere with the binding of the coating. I have had this happen with Gyeon CanCoat. Applied it to a small section outside. Came back a week later and the beading was bad. Well it was a cool night that night after application and morning dew ruined the coating. I had to polish and start over. Could you go into more of your application process and temperature it was applied? Reload also has the potential to mask hydrophobic behavior which is why I don’t use it. It just does not last. You could try to decon wash it to see if this is the case.

@@MikeGDetailing Well I followed what carpro recommended when I used UK 3.0 I applied 2 coats of UK and 2 coats of Gliss as a topper, in a year it was gone, not impressed. Better options for the money.
@MikeGDetailingАй бұрын
@@eppyz as I stated Gliss V1 was not that durable and more than likely that is what you were seeing. UK on it's own does a much better job and is still one of the best coatings on the market. I have had success with it. There is a reason why I did not recommend topping UK with Gliss but rather topping it with SiC as it is a much more durable coating. Gliss V1 could often be removed by even Tar X which shows how weak it was. I will stand by my recommendation for UK 3.0 as it was going strong almost 2 years later.
@eppyzАй бұрын
@@MikeGDetailing I understand your perspective but seems your missing mine. I followed the manufactures recommendation on application including Gliss on top of UK 3.0. The results were poor. I am not telling all the issues I had with UK 3.0 because there is no point if you like a product. I just have found something that works better for me, and my application living in a very harsh environment where UK failed in 1 yr. vs other products I have used that cost less and are easier to apply and remove. So if you had great success under your specific conditions??? Great, but results will vary to say the least as they would with any product, but if a products holds up where I live here in Death Valley California? Then they will hold up anywhere, and UK did not do the job for me.
