With every bit of gear serving a purpose, my favorite overall has to be bongo ties. The versatility is insane, and to have clean cable management is a life saver. It’s amazing with all of the expensive gear we use, how it’s the small things that stand out sometimes. P.S. good on you for calling out Sirui!

I bought a smallrig 99 pro and it has been a beast. I don’t have a very power consuming rig but I can plug almost anything into it and it will still last me over an hour. I also bought a Neewer mini v mount battery and I use it solely on my gimbal. It works great. And it’s on sale right now.

My favorite piece of equipment is actually a pelican air case. I have a giant case which allows me to pack a majority of my expensive equipment while protecting it. It simplifies packing and loading my equipment which is super nice at the end of the day.

@ no I saw a few iffy reviews in line but this thing is an absolute champ!!!! I’ve used it at weddings recording podcasts and even interviews. I’ve also used it in live streaming software as an audio interface and it’s downright amazing!!

My favorite peice has been the Toughbuilt Stacktech system. We do a lot of interviews/multi cam podcast. We have the rolling tool box which holds our 2 reels of 50' HDMI 1 100' SDI, power junction box, RS3 Pro and some small stuff here and there. On top of it is the 3 drawer piece. Top drawer is Audio: H8, tenticle sycs, track E, deity pr2, Sennheiser G2, a couple of lavs. Middle drawer is Atem mini pro iso, 2 sm58, camera cable connectors and other misc stuff. Bottom drawer is all batteries, 2 99wh Vmounts, 6 NPF, AA and dummy batteries for all cameras. I can go on but way to much to list. I really recommend them, its the easiest system to lock and unlock together

Ive made SD/USB Holders, lens caps, battery pouches, cupholder camera tripods. their is an unlimited amount of things you can do with it. It's made so many things easier. That's my second favorite gear. Whether I use it with the camera on a gimbal and the battery in a pouch connected by usb-c or having it clamped to a tripod, I'm confident i have enough power to last the entire event.

Thats a good battery. The compact size and how it can last for an entire shoot. I've also got the attachment for the dji rs2 gimbal. Goes underneath the plate and works seamlessly

My favorite pieces of gear right now are Smallrig 60b combined with the Smallrig Super Camera Clamp. You seriously can do so much with those two things combined. The fact the 60b has an internal battery that can last more than expected when you don’t blast it to 100%. But also using that clamp to position the light in some convenient spaces to save you having to cram a c-stand somewhere. Best two pieces of gear I been using lately.

My favorite is the PB6 - no joke. Just came back from a week long doc style shoot and I had that thing as my main light because it was so nimble. Such good build quality and the magnets and battery life are superior to the tube lights before it. Mounting points as well.

Coming from a Gaffer owner operator perspective. The cheapest and best investment are probably 5 in 1s for me. Everything from a mid size to 6 footers. Quick way to take away or control light. I bought a few thinking I might not ever use them, but on corporate commercial settings they've come in clutch a few times. They don't cost much either.

Not strictly a film making tool but the use i get out of my AirPods when filming weddings is insane! Putting one in my ear and the other in my partners lets me activate noise cancellation thus being able to get my partners attention without making a noise!! Great if you haven’t got a headset or need to keep super quiet!

Ayo, my favorite piece of gear would have to a my Ronin Rs2. Gimbals are great because "steady" and "handheld" shots don't pair in my world :) I do prefer the Rs2 over the big brother Rs3 because when I'm run and gun and need to zoom in or out on my lens, the twisting motion causes the Rs3 to twist itself. Which probably isn't fantastic for the motors, also drains battery life :( .
