Interesting info on the bases and camber. Will you have to revisit your grinds?

What do you mean when you say the 902 klister ski is an n15 instead an n07 ski? I'm not sure if I've ever found an explanation for Fischer's "N" naming convention.

It's really inconsequential - just an item code for inventory management, and it probably wasn't worth mentioning. But when we're selecting skis or reviewing inventory it is really easy to see which model is which if you know the item codes!

Are you hearing that 812 mold classic skis won't be offered by Fisher next year? Sign of climate change, no more cold snow, long snow contact skis.

I understand that they have slowed down production for racing, but they are working on a new hardwax model.

Good to know. I heard there is no real racing need for the 812 mold outside of Canada and Russia, and that they were winding that mold down. We like real snow. @@caldwellsportski

It is very possible to move kick zones on classic skis, or to soften skis, in the sauna. You put little blocks of wood between the skis and clamp them to move the kick pocket. Fire up the sauna to 80C, shut down the fire, and let the skis relax and adjust overnight.

...this is learned from the OG wax tech at Lappe Nordic, Pauli Kakki.,

@@toivokoivukoski7060 We've done it a lot! Many years ago I was able to get about 30 pairs of "bad flex" warranty skis from Fischer - they were supposed to be destroyed but I promised to take care of that and to never sell them. Instead, I used them to learn all I could about reshaping pockets and remolding skis. It was a really good opportunity to learn, and it helped me begin to understand what characteristics to look for in the skis!
