Another great review Steve! Personally I drive my Explorer in Sport in town and Normal on the highway to get better mileage. There is definitely a difference in driving experience and turbo lag. But even just cruising in town Sport just seems to make the whole vehicle happier, and the driver agrees!

Thanks Louis! Great point on the Sport in town vs Normal on the highway. I'm in a Hyundai Palisade right now and found myself doing that exact switch. I'll have to give it a try in the Explorer ST next time I'm in one!
@noniespam6 ай бұрын
@@CarsWithSteveyes it works great. With my Palisade I do the same especially in unfamiliar areas, I like the throttle response time in sport mode, never know when you need to get out of the way in a hurry.

Thank you, appreciate the support! The 2025 models should be hitting lots in the next two months so I should have a video up before the end of the summer

Could you please clarify if the Driving modes are still available when opting for the Rear-Wheel Drive option?
@CarsWithSteve6 ай бұрын
You'd have 6 of the drive modes with rear wheel drive, Normal, Eco, Sport, Tow-Haul, Slippery and Trail but you'd lose out on Deep Snow/Sand

I guess they are keeping the models that sells in volumes but I guess they will lose this marked in some countries. In Norway we are heavily taxed on cars that are heavy with bigger engines but the hybrids gets a lower tax, so this has been the ONLY (new) Ford Explorer in our country. We don't even have the 2.3l and for reference, the new Ford Bronco with most options cost $150k here.

That's exactly it.. Pretty much the reason why they discontinued the Focus in North America while it's still available in the EU market. North Americans just really seem to like bigger vehicles Crazy about the price of the Bronco. Is that at least for a Raptor trim?

❤ How does this compare in size , exterior and interior, also size of seats and distance of driver from passanger , with the ford explorer SPORT 2013. Also how about the engine and the high take off ?? Thanks ❤
@CarsWithSteve5 ай бұрын
They're pretty much the exact same size! The XLT won't have quite as much power as the 2013 Sport but if you jump up to the ST, it'll perform even better ;)
@Sweetp5205 ай бұрын
@@CarsWithSteve thank you! is the S T also same as Sport interior and EXTERIOR room and width?
@CarsWithSteve5 ай бұрын
The ST is a few inches longer but outside of that it's pretty much the same as well

Im torn between the ford bronco sport outer banks and the ford explorer…. 😫😫

Ohh tough choice! Have you seen the new 2025 models? Both the Explorer and Bronco Sport have a nice upgrade! What do you think would be a deciding factory for you? Need more space, want something for off-road?
@brendazamora11133 ай бұрын
@@CarsWithSteve the space… sometimes I drive my daughter and her friends around… they will fit in the bronco sport… but the explorer would be so much more roomy…
@CarsWithSteve3 ай бұрын
So true! Depending on how often you drive them you could always get them to cram in the 2nd row of the Bronco Sport :P
