Man I’m glad I got my gmc 2500 sle package in 2022 for 52000 out the door everything has gone up so much in two years 60000 for basically a base truck with a few option is mind blowing

a few points. 52K in 2022 and 60K today isn't really far off due to inflation. This F250 is actually optioned well for a 58K truck the most important and expensive option is the off-road package.

I love how you boohoo 400hp and 445 ftlb of torque in a standard v8 gas truck engine. Those numbers were fantasy numbers 25 years ago in a base engine.

The non LED headlight Fords are definitely hard to look at lol. I’ve seen several in person and it doesn’t get any better. I would say you might change your initial thoughts on the 6.8 however based off its specs. I have not drove one but it has the same bore as a 7.3 and a much shorter stroke. So this engine is going to feel a lot more responsive. Now sure, 25-30 hp is 25-30 hp but it’s still over 400 in a relatively light truck (that can be another topic but Ford is messing up by taking so much weight out of these HD trucks). So don’t act surprised if this motor outruns the 7.3 empty. It’s definitely going to feel a lot more peppy with the significantly shorter stroke. Last thing, is price. That seems pretty high for what you’re getting (or lack there of). For the same money (less actually) you can get a Custom Silverado with blind spot monitors, parking sensors and more.

Good point on the shorter stroke with the 6.8L but I agree with JB about the heavier duty transmission with the 7.3L. My complaint on all the HD work trucks no matter the brand is there's no seat height adjustment. I'm 5'10" and they all feel too low.

@@dantimber yes they need to give a seat height adjustment for sure. I’m not 100% sure if a power seat is optional but it needs to be on all the trucks.
