How have I not stumbled upon this channel prior to now, cool stuff. I nearly pulled the trigger on the Couer de Oud but I own lord knows how many artisanal ouds so no point. Also shout out to the Lempicka! Nice anis scent.

Welcome! My next video is going to be all the ouds in my collection. I ended up wearing Coeur de Oud last night…for some reason every time I wear it it gives me sniffles. I do quite enjoy it. I wonder if they already sold all 500 bottles of it. Lempicka AM is so good. Would love to see a modernized version of it with a higher concentration.

@patchoulipapi Maybe something about cambodi oud tickles your nose? I'm sure I seen they were down to the last ten only two weeks ago so not far off all gone. I used to own Lolita Lempicka AM and it was so cheap back then! Lovely scent. I'm wearing Rendez-Vous by Antoine Lie and Sonia Sieff. Interesting gunpowder iris thing, check it out.

Very cool pickups. A little jealous of that bell jar of MKK-- I've been going back and forth on whether to pull the trigger on it. Coincidentally, I've also been fascinated with my decant of Al Oudh lateky. I feel like it would wear really well in the heat but I haven't been brave enough to test out that theory lol. Happy new year!

Such a good looking bottle. I do want to expand into more of the bell jars at some point but not sure which one to grab next. I think I wore Al Oudh in the summer once to go pick up groceries and couldn’t shake the thought of offending everyone around me. I think further into the dry down it resembles a “normal” woody scent.

@@patchoulipapi The idea of wearing Al Oudh in line at Publix and someone behind me going "what's that smell?" is truly one of my nightmares. Apparently all of the Lutens currently in the tall black bottles are moving to bell jars. But no sprayer + never at discounters + $300/75ml is so painful.

Happy New Year! 🎉 I recently sampled MKK and it wasn’t very animalic, at least compared to L’incendiaire. I’m curious if you’ve tried that one from the Section d’Or. I purchased quite a few cumin heavy fragrances as well.

Just found your channel. KZbin recommendations! TdH Parfum, Fetish, MFK Oud Extrait, VH Couer de Oud got decent wear in my collection this year from your list. I think I like Couer de Oud more than you (I appreciate the clean aspect of the oud and I don't find it linear - it has a pretty strong transition to my nose). Look forward to more in 2025!

Shout out to KZbin recommendations. Welcome! I ended up wearing Coeur de Oud last night after reading this comment. It’s nice…but I’m thinking something in it is causing my nose to malfunction. I’m always sniffling wearing that one for the first 30 minutes. The transition to me wasn’t apparent until I woke up in the morning. The Oud resembles that classic Dior Oud dry down which I enjoy. We’ll see you in the next video with my Oud collection!

Hello Again Papi - do you have any experience with Le Lion ? i wanted to blind buy it but am not sure if i can use it more than twice or three times a year - probably not something that you can wear on daily basis

@@miles-178 yes I made a video of it back in 2020 or 2021. It’s my favorite fragrance of all time. If you like incense and amber you will not have a problem with it. It’s strong and potent but if you can stick along enough for the dry down it’s pure GOLD.

About those , dirty raunchy type fragrances. I don't think I will EVER be able to enjoy them. Kubloachan (correct or not) I smelled the old version & it's a NO for me. Of course to each his own, I just had to share that 🤷‍♂️

Hah…I understand that. I don’t remember why or when I started to enjoy them quite heavily. I think everything at some point got too boring for me so I decided to expand my palette slowly. I think Le Labo Labdanum 18 was one of the first ones in that realm for me.
