Overview
Although it starts at a lower price than many of its competitors, there's nothing second-rate about the 2024 Genesis GV70. This compact SUV does luxury better than the Audi Q5 and BMW X3 and also delivers well-balanced road manners-with a smoother ride than the Mercedes-Benz GLC-class and the Volvo XC60. While those rivals have the Genesis beat when it comes to name recognition, the GV70 is impressively deluxe, with a chic design and a full roster of convenience and technology features. A turbocharged four-cylinder is standard, but a more powerful twin-turbo V-6 is optional; both offer plenty of giddyap and come with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. We had a V-6-powered GV70 for a long-term test in which we finished 40,000 miles with almost nothing but praise for it.
What's New for 2024?
GV70 2.5 T models receive new 19-inch wheels and upgraded brakes as standard starting for the 2024 model year. The 2.5T Sport Prestige model also now comes with ventilated front seats, manual rear door window shades, a premium Lexicon stereo system, and a remote parking feature. All 3.5T models get an upgraded collision-avoidance system as well as adaptive cruise control with a lane-centering feature and onboard Wi-Fi. The 3.5T Sport Advanced trim receives a fresh set of 21-inch wheels.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The GV70's cabin design is more daring than its larger GV80 sibling's; we like how the sweeping lines of the exterior carry into the interior for a cohesive look. Fine materials line the inside, and the knurled glass shift knob looks and feels luxurious. A common complaint about the G70 sedan is its cramped rear seat, and while the GV70 has more space to offer and additional legroom for back-seat riders, it's still not particularly roomy. ....

The color red is gorgeous! The headlights and taillights are very nice and slick looking However it isn’t enough to trade in my Lexus. At least I know it’s reliable.

There is an engineer's review somewhere on KZbin where he measured the paint and clear coat thickness on a Genesis model and found them to be way above any luxury car brand in its class in terms of paint quality edging up to Bently class thickness. I think its something like 2x the coating over Lexus. They definitely have a nice shimmering coat that seem to pop seen in real life too. I own a Uyuni White one and close look it has small flecks embedded in the paint. Personally, I switched from BMW and Lexus and very happy. Lexus has reliability history for sure but the Genesis has so many good features and so smooth, quiet I don't think I could go back. No real issues so far. Waiting to see the first 100k review out there. There is already a 40k mile one by car and driver in terms of reliability.
