I bought a 2022 F150 Lariat Powerboost Crew Cab 4x4 with 360 assist and 7.2kw inverter in bed. It was the base trim and with X Plan pricing was $58K. Since they don’t even have a base Lariat trim anymore, $58K would barely get you an XLT with those options. A Lariat with those features is a $70k+ truck now. Basically, yes trucks are waaaaaaaay too expensive these days. Guess what? People keep buying them anyway, so the manufacturers don’t care!

My 2015 Chevy Silverado still runs amazing. Regular maintenance and tire rotations keep it like new. I only had to replace the battery and shocks. People still thinks it like new. I only paid $36K. Why would I pay almost double if my current truck is working perfectly well?

Very good review! I have a 2024, 1500 elevation with the premium package. Mine has the X31 suspension. I think that’s where I got the two speed transfer case, because I have 4WD Low. I 100% agree with you on the auto dem rear view mirror! I didn’t realize how much I appreciated that feature until I noticed this one didn’t have it. I also think cooled seats and auto up windows should be included for the price. All in all, it’s a nice truck. The first thing I did was remove the oversized “Elevation” badges. I think they take away from the look of the truck. I also did a muffler delete, I left the flapper in place. Now it sounds great! It’s a little louder than I expected at cold start but then it tones down a bit and sounds great and I have zero droning sound. I will get a Range Technology DFM disabler as soon as it is available.

I am picking up a 2024 truck exactly like this one, $12k off MSRP. I think 66k MSRP is too much, so pleased with the very recent discounts. But let's be honest now: New trucks are basically the clones of their counterpart SUVs, which are about 10k MORE than the truck variant. Compare F150s to Expeditions, Tundra's and Sequoias, Silverado to Tahoe. I would argue unless a family NEEDS a 3rd row, the truck is a much better deal with more versatility. For less money. Basic trucks with no bells and whistles have almost been completely replace by the upgraded interiors and extra features of their SUVs. This makes me feel better about my purchase.

The discounted the Denali by a crap 💩 load and it had the duramax and I’m one super happy owner the Denali was always my dream truck.

I bought the Sierra 1500 Elevation with premium package with a few differences being an included sunroof and a standard tailgate. I've had it for two days and purchased it from that exact location. I think you were spot on with majority of your opinions, especially the "mean" cold start and smooth silent ride on the hwy. The truck market is pretty insane, but were seeing the prices coming down and I was able to purchase this well under MSRP. Thankfully, Koons Tysons dealership (David O. - Sales) made it easy to leave with a beautiful and well equipped truck. If you're in that area, I would absolutely recommend checking them out - we're glad we took the 45 minute drive to see what they had. Only minor complaints would be the lack of cooled seats and the interior cabin lights are pretty dim.

I just bought a 2024 X31 w/ Premium Package and the Duramax. I gave $53k for it and it stickered at $69k. This is NOT a $70k truck as it doesn't have an auto dimming rear view mirror,power folding mirrors or automatic wipers or LED tail lights like was previously mentioned... I mean C'mon GM these are basic features that couldn't add more than a couple of hundred to the already bloated sticker.

The benefit of not having factory LEDs is you can swap them out to led and swap out the bulbs when they go bad relatively inexpensively. When the factory LEDs go bad you have to replace the whole taillight or headlight. Let's hope it's still under warranty cause that is expensive.

I've got a 2021 GMC 1500 X.31 with V8 5.3L & 4x4/AWD 8 speed transmission. Luckily it was made during Covid and its shortage of Computer chips years. Thus, it has: NO engine Auto Start/Stop, NO AFM/DFM (which creates stuck lifters - 0uch!), NO down Hill Engine Braking (which is hard on transmissions) and NO On-Star system. Yes. All the "advanced" computer stuff that causes known problems. Instead of "more" electronics, one needs to go back to the base build - that creates less future problems. Especially its factory AFM/DFM system - that creates lifter and cam shaft problems. Research factory build problems before buying! Glad I did!

The Elevation is on par with Ford's Lariat & Ram's Laramie not the XLT. I almost bought the '23 of this as a Black pig but GMs configuration is a funny one. I couldn't get exacor almost what I wanted, even with me compromising the engine size, my option came up to 84KCAD, I had to settle for Ford's Lariat factory-built, Full hybrid (7.2kwh), 3.5V6 & BLK appearance package for the same price after some discount. IMHO, a better buy for what I wanted. On the whole, you can't go wrong with this GMC.

SLT in GMC is ford lariat and Ram laramie.....standard leather and power front and vented seats, and all can be built close to top trims....elevation cannot be built to those specs, no pass power seat either

For the premium package some of y’all demand too much. It’s an Elevation not a Denali. You wanted all those extra features get a SLT or higher. Btw if the truck is unlocked and you double tap remote start the truck will auto lock then start. Dont gotta hit lock then start

I recently ordered the Blacked out Elevation with the Premium and X-31 off road package. The price of vehicles like everything is out of control. It's hard to comprehend that with a sticker price of 80.000 it is not available with a power adjustable front passenger seat. that means the seat has no height adjustment for passenger comfort. I thought it was all about comfort. What a rip off. To get a blacked out truck with a power front passenger seat I would have to get the blacked out AT4 . That truck was my first choice but would set me back probably 100.000. Again what a rip off. I currently own a 2017 All Terrain X. It has the same trim level as the SLT. and has power front seats. Looking forward to getting the truck in the next 3 or 4 months but that seat issue is going to be a black mark on it.

It's been in transit from where it was built for 2 months now, somewhere in the US. It has been in Quebec for 3 weeks now waiting for a train ride to Labrador City. Then they need 8 or 9 vehicles to fill a car hauler before it will make the 6 hr. trip to the GM dealer in Goose Bay Labrador where I will pick it up. That is just an 800 km drive, round trip to pick it up. Hopefully just one more month waiting. That will be 8 months from the day I ordered it.

Gmc pickup is the bare minimum, your right it should come with auto dimming mirrors.Styling is bare minimum everything is square looking. I haven't even seen at least the cigarette charger anywhere in the front for accessories. Get more more bang for your money with Dodge pickups in my opinion.
