You can override that cylinder deactivation if you’re going to drive around town by putting it in low then on your paddle shifter click it to L9. That keeps it in all the time 8 cylinders , but don’t do it on the highway.

Just test drive 2025 gmc sierra 1500 with same engine and trim level today. It is slow. But worse are the brakes,, truck takes a long time to slow down and you have to push down really hard.

Ya cut off the cylinders with that AFM Do the the other cylinders then gotta move the shut off ones? …that can’t be good but they still did it

DMF is the worst thing GMC has ever done . before you buy, check out the law suits against GM ? lifter failure the best trucks were 2021 elevation . because of the computer chip shortage DMF were not hooked up
