I have a 2019 Road King, 107, cr483 cam, Arlen Ness big sucker air cleaner, 6.3 injectors, power vision tuner, stock head pipes with Sharkroad slip-ons without baffles. If I roll into the throttle like you do it spins the tire. I have to be really careful in 1st gear, and shifting into 2nd gear. My bike is a beast.
@Dabocado3 ай бұрын
@@robertschulz5293 I hear you buddy. I spin mine all the time. I’m luckily I have enough to still have some balance and control. I use a lot of quarter - to mid throttle and have found the sweet spot of grip and acceleration. Takes a bit of getting used to. However though, there is a very slim margin of between how quickly you can accel and completely lose it. She’s a blast.

I did sorta the same with S&S475 and SP Concepts on my '23 FXLRS. I love it even if it's a little bit too loud on trips(ear plugs help). However, it does make riding in traffic at very slow speeds a bit chunky. Sounds great though.

Hey, I see a red dot on your speedo and was wondering if you eventually cleared the red dot light? I have the same issue on my 2022 Fatbob 114. For me its not the brake lever sticking/lights. My bike is running perfectly fine. Yours doesn't seem like it has any problems?

Why the CR483 and not the CR475? Also did you do the chain version (CR483C). The G versions are harder installs I hear. Finally, riders are reporting online that the MPG goes down from 42 to like 30. What is your experience?
@DabocadoАй бұрын
@@Shah_creates I went with the 483 for the sound, it’s so unique. It’s also something different and their QC is top notch. I’ve heard of some S&S parts failing but haven’t heard anything negative of CR. I did order all my parts from the Aussies so I guess it’s technically from A.P.E. The rest was just a bonus. I stuck with the chain drive as I didn’t see much benefit or reason to go with the gear. The fuel economy is atrocious. You’ll be filling up a lot. I don’t know exactly what it is but I’ll burn through a whole tank in a couple hours easy. I’m not very nice to this bike and ride pretty hard though. I think I burned 7/8 of a tank in 120 miles, so that’s pretty close. I guess anywhere between 25-32 mpg depending on how you’re riding.
@Shah_createsАй бұрын
@ thank you. Did you get the bike properly tuned after install? Could help with the economy.
@DabocadoАй бұрын
She was on the dyno for a bit. I was pressed for time and thought I would let the thundermax do the rest. I’m bumping the cylinders up to 128ci with stock heads, keeping the 483 and swapping the 5.5’s for 6.2’s. I’ve seen some dyno graphs around 140-145 hp 150-157 tq with that set up.
@WondersNBlunders8 күн бұрын
It sounds exactly how I like. Is there a way to get same sound without increasing power?
@Dabocado8 күн бұрын
@ cam and exhaust will give you the sound. You will need a tune however. I don’t know if there’s anything you can do about the extra power. It’s easily manageable though. You won’t be keeping up with litre bikes but you’ll be having a blast.

Does it feel comfortable for just cruising speeds as well, or does it feel choppy? Meaning do you always feel like you have to be on the throttle with that cam? Oh, and do you have an auto tune in there or did you have it properly tuned?
@Dabocado3 ай бұрын
@@HeyNoah it’s not terrible. In the lower rpm’s, bike isn’t very happy. It lives in the midrange and performs best there. If you downshift too late, you’ll definitely notice it. Downshift in the sweet spot and it’s super smooth. The bike is happier at speed, but does just fine everywhere else. Mine is auto tuning. I want to get myself on a dyno eventually but have been having difficulties finding someone who’s available.
