I have a 2023.5 Street Glide and I love it. I'm 5'10 and it is easy to reach the screen and I feel like I get better wind protection. I have been riding mountain bikes almost all my life and I prefer the street glide handle bars. I have a 2002 Heritage Springer with mini ape bars and so I have used both. I love the drawer I pug in my phone and when I want to change music or something I just pull up apple car play. I ride frequently on the freeway at 80 + mph and with the new fairing and the CVO suspension I haven't felt wind pushing the fairing around. I like the looks of the new road glide but I like the looks of the street glide even better. Nice review.

I agree they should’ve done better bars on the SG. It’s much more of a pain to change the SG bar than the RG bar so a better factory option would’ve been nice to see. That being said I like the looks of both of them.

Im a batwing guy for life. Ive ridden my buddies 2016 rg ultra and his dads 2014 electra ultra, and i myself had a 2008 street glide. I just do not like the look, feel, or handling of the road glides. I bought a 2015 electra ultra classic and it just fits me so well. And ive taken a batwing on long road trips, and its really not a big deal. Going over grooved pavement down a mountain in colorado all the road glides were panicking and im just cruising along enjoying the view on my street glide. I understand the appeal to the rg, but not for me

The "snack tray" on the SG is awesome!!! Phone or wallet goes right in there. One thing HD could do as some feedback.... when you lock your $45k CVO, tray doesnt lock. Kinda sucks.... sometimes you wanna just park your bike... say F your phone and wallet and walk into a place with cash. Having that snack tray lock would be a big upgrade.

Adam you are so right! I'm 5'8 and 255 lbs and I just got a 23 CVO street glide vs the road glide because the road glide dash felt a just a skosh too far for me. I live in Connecticut and go to Black widow hardly when I come down there to visit my old friend. Great place on weekends with live music in the parking lot and the restaurant on site there

I agree about the screen distance and I only rent touring bikes and usual a street glide but this time I rented a road glide because I thought now I could make a better judgement on slow speed maneuvers and the frame mounted fairing makes it a bit easier. I prefer everything else about the street glide. The fairing, one headlight, etc.

Amen ! I agree! I test drove a 24 CVO SG and a 24 117 RG a couple of day’s ago at my local HD dealer. The SG was way better looking and had sex appeal . It was very peppy with the 121 CU engine, and was very maneuverable however the RG fit me much better, I’m 6’1 n weigh 215 and I felt cramped on the SG, the handle bars on SG were too low and I didn’t think I would be comfortable on a long ride. The RG didn’t have as much pep, mainly because it was not a CVO, yet the RG was way more rideable for longer distances, the handle bars fit me to a T, which was what I was after, I currently have a 2020 CVO Ltd and it has way more features than the current CVOs but the 2020 is very heavy (950 lbs). I have a tour pak, XM & Nav, back rest, heated seats, road pegs,luggage rack on tour pak and a CB radio. All Standard on the 2020 CVO Ltd ! The new CVOs don’t have these or you have to pay extra for them. Anyways my choice was the RG but the CVO that I want is north of $50k, Legendary Orange , it’s a beauty!

I agree. The suspension has always been a weak point on the suspension. 3"is better than the previous 2", but the competition is making 4" mono standard, which is a much better ride for the highway. I like the looks of the SG better as well. The RG looks like it is smiling at head on camera shots.

Why does the 2024 Ultra still have the 114 and the analog gauges and not the same new dash and the 117 motor as the Street Glide? Why would HD do this?

That looks like the same screen that was on the 23 Roadglide CVO. I liked the way those were set up compared to the special. At first when I got my 2019 in 2018 it felt like the bars were to high. But once I got used to it I barely noticed the difference on the 2020 model I got in late 2020. I'm 5'8" and have long arms so I guess I assimilated to them quicker. Feels as if I've got more control.

I can't get over those digital displays. That's part of the reason new cars are so awful. It used to be guys that wanted something like that had to custom install them. Now every bike has it and you got to figure out how to remove it. When something goes wrong with the screen you got no gas gauge, no speedometer... sheesh.$$$ Great bike otherwise.
