Because a lot of people who buy this think it's just a Honda Civic with a lot of horsepower and they go well I wanted to carry my family will you can but if you want a real period four-door sedan that carries your family around go get a Honda Accord I would consider the Honda Civic Type R a sports car

Because there is no reason for them to remove it, given it's in the cheaper models. The weight is negligible. Just because it's a performance car, doesn't mean it needs to miss out on things that are already standard in lower models. By your logic, they could have removed the back doors.. but they didn't.

I’m coming from a tuned X3m that trapped 124. Honestly, the civic is perfect for the street. Anything over 300hp is just bragging rights. Love this car

The center console is no plastic but aluminum. If you touch it you feel the cold metal. Finally someone cleaned the exhaust tips before filming. Thumbs up for that!

2 Tips for any potential Type R buyers: First, the ride quality can be improved by purchasing a Acura Integra Type S damper module for a few hundred bucks. Installation is pretty straight forward. Second, good luck trying to buy a Type R.... 6 months ago dealers were charging a $10k premium. Not as bas now, last time I checked my local dealer was charging a $5K premium.

I purchased one 2 months ago at MSRP in New Hampshire, at the time there were a handful in New England at MSRP. There were some dealers charging 2-3k over and a few who were asking 5k but said they were flexible.

I bought a 2023 WRX. I love the TypeR but it doesn’t have AWD or a well for a proper spare tire, things that come in handy on road trips and bad weather.

It harkens back to the integra type R. The black makes the rear look stripped out like a real race car, if it was also red the interior would feel more "bulky" looking at it from the outside. It also makes the recaro seats look like they are aftermarket racing chairs, adding to the overal racing pedigree look.

Needs to be AWD, the power is there though, for 44 plus, ugh they could've done more to it, kinda just throwing people bones more than anything. I'd like to see it jacked up with a 2 inch lift, and some all terrain tires, that would be interesting.

White is the original color. Not sure why ppl complain when its black and white paint job like a panda. I find it really bouncy even on comfort mode. Even the shifter isnt always smooth, sometimes its clunky. I find it not as comfortable in long drives, especially if your lower back hurts.

I think the redsigned 2025 civic will have the same front end design grill. Looks like they got rid of the EX and Touring Trim and replaced with hybrid trim levels.

I was considering buying one of these type Rs locally, but then the dealer in Tampa, FL attempted to rip me off, with a market adjustment attempt of $5K. I laughed in the man's face! That was so funny! I mean, what??????????????? You think I am paying over MSRP, for a Honda? LOL! I then went to an Acura dealer, they wanted $7K over MSRP for an Integra type S. I did the same thing, laughed in his face! These dealership sales people think consumers are idiots! It is they who are the idiots! Let them starve! I bought a RAV4 Hybrid, and am so much happier, and paid less than MSRP. I considered a Supra 3.0, but there were none left. I would have to order one, but could have bought one for less than that Acura Integra type S.

Owning a suv and sedan isn't the same. Sporty vs practical suv with high mpg. This car is supposed to be your fun/weekend car. The hybrid doesn't need premium fuel and it's fuel efficient. I have both and realized it's not cheap to drive the type r 🙃
