Bought a 2024 Honda CRV EXL from Jenkins Honda in Leesburg, FL for $39,500 in July 2023. Had some "extras", tinted windows, rubber floor mats, but overall a good car. Do I think I overpaid for it, absolutely, but at the time we needed a car. Our last car was a 2008 Honda CRV (base model) with 170k on it. Our daughter is driving it now.

The only thing I wish Honda would add is the option on ALL models for a power tailgate! Some buyers don't want/need/or cannot afford EXL or Hybrid Sport L to get a power tailgate! URGH .... otherwise, I plan to buy the LX CRV... very excited about it! :) LONG time Honda owner (since I was 16) I've had Hondas (just turned 48)... Cannot go wrong with ANY model :) but yes, I WISH power tailgate on LX/EX models for CRV, HRV, Pilot ... Odyssey. I had an odyssey LX with manual tailgate.. boy that joker prob weighed 30-40lbs... it was AWFUL to open.. they are much improved since but again, I need to stay on a budget and that would be an option I would love on an LX and EX. You asked about rear ac : SO glad to see this. No USB; not a big deal.... woundn't hurt to have on all trims. but my teenager can power up before trips; and the power outlet could be used with a double USB in the front: giving You 3 USB in front..so they are covered. Also portable power banks are VERY inexpensive :) not a big deal but if I had to pick DEFINITELY rather have rear ac than usb chargers!!!!! and a power tailgate

My dealer did that. They "add" markups for all the things that already come with the car.

Hi Tom, thanks for being one of the very few guys who does reviews of the base model vehicles. All the other channels who get vehicles direct from manufactures usually are provided with top line loaded models. As far as the dealer markup, disguised as dealer installed options, it seems to be very popular even here in New York and New Jersey especially with Honda dealers.

Just bought the lx over a mazda cx5. Honda infotainment MUCH easier to use. Don't need power seats. Moonroof, or power liftgate in rear. The motors are in the support bars & when the go out you CANNOT open or close the rear & they cost $$$$$to replace ! The lx seats a pretty comfortable & enough adjustability. Slightly reclining rear seats a nice +. Visibility is pretty good. No real need for blind spot sensors, not to mention the added cost gor that only in upper trim levels that also has other features i DONT want or need. Yes, the entry level LX is gine with me. Thw dealership sold it with no mark ups & actually got 2000 off MSRP. Plus got good $ for my trade. Plus my insurance actually went DOWN for this over the accord i traded in. So very happy with the deal, car, & dealership. Hopefully it will last a long time with regular maintenance. 😊😊😊

My wife and I have the 2024 crv base model it would be nice if it had heated side view mirrors as I've had had that feature in the past on other base model vehicles I have owned

Just bought the LX. The headlight beam pattern covers areas fog lights would.

Yup. I had fog lights on my 4runner. With this car i dont need them. Looks perfectly fine without them.

Don't buy it without the Blindside Indicator because it's a large car and you'll have trouble seeing other cars while merging or changing lanes. Honda needs to put BSI all their cars. No excuse!

1.5 L engine, been there and not going back. Put the 2.0 L engine in all of them and scrap that oil diluting 1.5 L

My wife and I just got this base model CRV 2 weeks ago and ours came w/ remote starter, USB (for CarPlay), USB-C, heated seats, dual zone climate control, heated front wipers and heated side mirrors . Is it because we’re in Canada? Seems like all the videos of American ones also lack these features. Loving our car so far though. Don’t need all the fancy stuff, in fact I turn them all off (the ones that I can). Also love the cargo space and rear seat passenger room!

I tried to lease a Nissan Rogue SL but they asked 3000 down and high payment; too much for it and then I went to Honda and ended up leasing a 2024 CRV EXL ...no dowpayment and 480 monthly payment.. wonder why????

Better residual value. When you lease you are paying for the depreciation of the vehicle…. Honda products lease better than Nissan products, meaning the depreciation of the Nissan is quicker than the Honda and requires more money upfront.

Never ever negotiate price with the dealer based on monthly payment. Negotiate price only at out the door price.

Tom I know you have to cover for this dealership but they are charging mark ups! That will be a significant addition to the monthly payment especially at these interest rates. This is an unethical dealership.!!!!!They should be reported and boycotted But obviously people are paying or they would not be charging their markups. But….I still enjoy your videos and will continue to watch😊

Bought 2024 LX with no dealer add ons, which are unnecessary and expensive. Looking to change oil when it has 1,000 miles, then every 5,000 thereafter. The manufacturer oil change intervals - follow them at your own peril.
