Nice list man. Could you do one to explain how use the paddle shifters to control regen braking. Also, what is the difference between using the paddle shifters and B mode? Do you not need to use the paddle shifters in B mode? I find this is not clearly explained anywhere.
@one_hoop10 ай бұрын
My understanding is that in D mode, the regen braking resets after you come to a stop (or hit the brake?). When in B mode, it will maintain whatever regen braking level you have set. You would use it when you are approaching a stoplight that will be red by the time you get there, so you don't want to stop yet, but you want to maximize the recaptured energy, or possibly time it so it turns green by the time you get there. It has multiple levels so that you can take into account how far away you'll need to stop and if there is traffic behind you. Have you been able to test drive one?
@briq44098 ай бұрын
Just a note… Whenever you press the brake pedal the first thing that happens is always regenerative braking until you get past a certain threshold of brake force. So putting it in B mode, all it does is make that regenerative braking start before you press the brake pedal. So you won’t get any more battery charge using B mode then you would just pressing the brake. The friction brakes only come into play when you are trying to decelerate the car more than what regenerative braking can provide. And like one hoop said above when you’re in D the paddle shifters reset after a certain amount of time to off. In B mode, they stay where you leave them only exception is it never stays at level four it always reverts to three when you turn the car off and start again. One last thing, when you are in B mode, the brake lights never illuminate until you physically press the brake pedal.

Hey Justin, this is the first video I’ve seen of yours about the 2024 CRV and I really appreciate everything you had to offer I wish all videos were this and informational and got to the point this efficiently Great quality, great dialogue thank you! I had one question about wireless CarPlay and the AI adaptor you mentioned. There seem to be many on the market, including the one you have linked in your comments. I’m in Canada, so I can probably find these cheaper with Canadian dollars I can link diversion in US dollars But I’m trying to figure out how do I know it’s for my car, a 2024 CRv hybrid touring Some say, they require a wired CarPlay, others seem to convert wired CarPlay to wireless, and then there’s the one you have which I’m not exactly sure is designed for wireless CarPlay, does both, or something else? But it’s very cool and very affordable, so I’d like to try it
@JustinFullerReviews5 ай бұрын
So there are some boxes that simply make your wired car play wireless. Those are usually pretty cheap. But that's all they do. There are then other boxes, like the one I show. It does require carplay to exist, but it essentially converts your head unit into a tablet. For the one I was discussing, I believe they will provide you a list of vehicles it works with. If not, you can email and ask.

I loved the video and am now subscribed. I am interested in getting the 2025 Sport Touring trim. I haven't been able to take a test drive yet. I have a few questions: (1) Are there specific controls when using the heated front seats? I was reading that when you turn the car on it will automatically turn on the heat using the last heat setting....but not at the "highest level". Also, that it has a regulator that will turn down the heat if it gets too hot. Is this all true? (2) I guess the same question when using the A/C... will it automatically turn on the A/C from the last setting...so if you use remote start, it will cool off the car before you get in it? (3) In my current car, when using Navigation, I can hardly hear the instructions while I have the radio on. Is there some special setting in the CRV to make the instructions louder? (4) My current car's Navigation still uses "old highway exit numbers for some Massachusetts roads. It's some sort of software issue. Does the CRV system show the new exit numbers? Thanks.

Thank you for the tips. I do have a question that I get different answers on. When I bought my 2024 Hybrid CRV I was told( by the salesman) that the B on the shifter was to help charge the battery faster and that I should use it when driving in stop and go traffic. Then I asked someone else at the dealership they said to use it while going downhill (lower gear). If that is correct why would there also be a downhill button in the car?
@JustinFullerReviews4 ай бұрын
So it's actually a combination of both. When you shift to b, it's increasing the regenerative braking which builds the charge up for your car. It can also be used for engine braking. The example being driving down a large hill. Instead of riding your brakes down and burning them up, you could put it in b mode and allow it to slow the car down, and build a charge.
