I am 62, a former rally/racing driver and I have a wealth of experience. I choose this over any German brand, based upon my experience both of Honda and said German cars. I deal with facts,not perceptions. Opinion is cranial flatulence, after all. After having driven well over two million km in conditions resembling India and Australia, I have seen what lasts, and what doesn't. My Honda's consistently was more enduring than any of five Mercedes-Benz I owned, or the 23 in my direct family. Honda just never leave me stranded by the roadside, like all others did. Good car. But Honda do not keep parts. Unless you are willing to wait 5 months for parts on a car still under warranty!!

the only German brand which has enough parts is VW - the same criticism of Honda applies to every other German brand bar none........

What wears me out is a junior journo whining like a CVT about "power" while he drives a 1.5l that has more kW than most 2.5's when I was his age. Please mature.

Today, I had my second Honda Elevate test drive of the top model, the CVT ZX. However, I must say that it doesn't feel like a true Honda product; it only bears the Honda name. On rough roads, there is excessive cabin noise, especially in the back. The cabin is spacious enough and can be considered the best in its segment. However, the excessive noise is a major issue. The suspension needs significant improvement compared to market competitors like the Creta and Seltos, as well as accelerator noise while pressing the race pedal. I tried both slow and aggressive driving, but the result was the same. I'm not sure if the test drive model I used had specific issues, but I tried two test drives from different dealerships because the overwhelmingly positive reviews intrigued me. please let me know its a known issues or not. I have no wonder why the Creta and Seltos have had such peak sales performance. While I need a family vehicle for the long term, I don't want to rely solely on a brand name. I test drove the Hyryder, Seltos, Creta, and Elevate, all in the petrol segment. However, I was disappointed by their price-to-performance ratio. This segment is particularly confusing for buyers in the 15 lakh price range. I'm still confused about what to buy. If anyone has any good experiences with a good vehicle under 15 lakhs in June 2024, please let me know; it would be a great help.

Honda's marketing decisions for SA are very questionable. They made the WRV crossover - a nice little shape but with a 1.2 engine - no turbo. I could forsee that being a flop and it was. If it had the 1.5 engine, it could have been more successful without a doubt. The Elevate, especially the none top of the range model is all cheap plastic inside. It doesn't even have a leather steering wheel, no chrome or brushed accents at all...and it needed at least a 1.8 or 1.5 turbo engine. I see over and over again these poor decisions made and you can easily pre-emp when a model will fail in being a sales success. They destroyed the Ballade - the once top selling model, the Civic as well, the Brio hatch was just a design and practicality disaster (you could literally only load 2 small PnP grocery bags), the Jazz is barely visible on our roads, the HVR now only has a 1.5 engine from 1.8 and the CRV is a million rand. They might as well close shop.

this is kinda mid varient in compared to indian version.lol indian top model elevate zx comes with adas, 10.25 inch display,adaptive cruise control, better interior

Yes, we are getting worst spec models of cars in South Africa. None of the Suzukis here have the 1.0 Boosterjet engine

Then go for zx model, The difference is about 1.3 lac which is very minimal against adas, 10.25inch display, armrest, cruise control, lane assist and lot more.
