2024 Honda GB 350 - Open Road Ride Traction Control Off!

Bit of a run today on my 2024 Honda GB350 with traction control off. My fvery irst ride out with this feature turned off. Best of all one can engage/disengage this option whilst on the fly.

Yes they do get a bit excited dropping rubbish about. hard to find a place where they dont drop it. check out my reply to the village idiot who said i dont need the traction control in the comments...lol there is no doubt i feel youtube is full of old use by date riders...lol i bet most of them would not pass a rego check and probably neither would there bikes either just worn out useless old fuddy duddies

Looks quite similar performance to the Enfield Classic. Reasonably unstressed at the national speed limit on the flat. But similar to the Enfield it did seem to struggle when faced with an incline. No denying that it's a wonderful little thumper soundtrack.

yeah i think the 5th gear on this one is more an overdrive. it has its better performance in the first 4 gears. not that many klm on this bike so later i will give it a more thorough or harder run...lol

Sounds fresh! I read yesterday somewhere on utube that Honda KNOWS how well RE has been doing with all the new models. Now Honda will introduce their version of the Himalayan and Scram. Can you believe Honda....smart, very smart. I think you may have shifted the tide Warrior with your honesty.

it is a good bike to ride and an easy bike too. with slipper clutch/duel abs and traction it covers most needs for new riders. but regardless the classic 350 steals the show for outright character so hard to beat in just that factor alone. but i still think its good to go from one bike to the other and enjoy the ride from both sides all the best!

Hi Warro, just would like to appreciate your reviews on the ol Honda CB500x. It's really good seeing you make the most out of smaller machines and I ended up wth a Honda CB300r which I really liked. Amazing how much power the ruddy thing has, but was given raspberries by friends that said I looked like super frog on a snail, so anyway after watching your vids and convincing the wife I snapped a new 500x from the local dealer. You re very accurate in reviewing the bike, you have a detailed way of explaining the emotion of owning one these machines. Well done from NZ...And I cannot wait for the the long ADV trips I have planned.

id say yes as its easier to swing around performs pretty good too in first 4 gears. may not look as good as a classic 350 but then again ive never seen the gb350 in another colour. well thats a bit wrong. the indian hiness 350 is near the same bike and has some great colours

sounds sweet mate, im looking at one of these as a tourer, how does it go sitting on 115 kph or 120? not too much vibration?

sitting on 110 kph is quite possible and vibe wise near none...say a 2/10 im working on a mod with gearing shortly so may be able to say more on that later on overall a oretty good set of wheels

i think it feels to me i new have the full power. now to piss off some. i bet i could easily beat a stock 350 owner from 0 to 100 kph. of coarse how would i know - i only own both bikes...lol but its quick off the mark. is it a better bike than a classic 350...visually its a no but is better. would i take it over a classic 350 - no its a nice bike but the classic has more character.

@@ridewithwarro Fair enough, too Warro. For myself, I do wonder why, given the low-ish power output, why traction control is even fitted, as I'm pretty sure it's not mandatory anywhere in the world. I do know that in the 64 years that I've been riding bikes, with capacities up to 1800cc, I've never felt the need for such a device. But then, I'm old-school! 😂

@@chrisweeks6973 yeah i dont think its essential on this but probably seeing that its built into the ecu honda put it in for near zero $$$ and its a good sales point for a possible new comer sale.....lol i was just curious how it went with TC off and its quicker. same too with the vespa so it does control power output it would be interesting how it would perform on gravel roads with TC on too but saying that im more interested in riding the vstrom 250 sx on dirt and just waiting now for the luggage carry rails and the crash bars to arrive and then fitted and i think the clips will mainly feature the vstrom 250 sx and i can rest the other 4 bikes and no doubt rest a few subs too...lol

@@ridewithwarro Yes, it's understandable that it would moderate the acceleration rate; I generally manage the same result by not twisting so far on the grip... 😉 I do understand about the Vstrom being a better proposition on the dirt and if you lose a few, then so be it.

I really like the exhaust tune. Good to see you coming out of the scrub at the start. Glad to hear that with the traction control off, it performs more briskly. With a little bit of handicap in the power department, it’s good to be able to improve its performance.
