Im curious to know how a 1700+ race have a 1000 bird still missing. Overfly? Most times its the headwinds causing lots of losses.

@ausfuhrpramienjagar I think Birds of Prey were probably a factor in the final. The first drop came in from on high with their asses on fire. And the rest gone with the wind. Some of the MIAs had previously done very well ..The whole thing, the scorching dive from on high and tons of MIAs looks a lot like my falcon infested place. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the returns came back pretty marked up by falcons. That however, doesn't explain very high losses on the 220 before that. All total, almost 3/4 of all entries were lost this year. We're talking about 3000+ pigeons. I might attend the Hoosier event because the experience and hob nobbing seems top notch and well worth attending, but I won't fly Hoosier again. We lose tons of pigeons locally and you need 100 yb just to have survivors, but even to me it seems like really extreme losses.
