My mother-in-law got an HR-V and we took it from Louisiana to Disney World. I drove it the entire time. Was fine as a around town car, but nothing impressive. She traded it in a week later for a Pilot, had it less than a month :p

It's much nicer than previous gens. I'm not a big fan of the spoiler but that's just me. The inside is really nice and spacious that I do like.

Thanks, great review. One thing is I hate that they put the shifter on the column... That may kill it for me, I have a 2022 Kona and love the shifter in the console. Put it into manual mode and slap the stick. Don't think I can over come this.

The base model doesn’t have it on column, but it’s only on higher trims.

Loving this red Kona -- want a Limited version next year when my lease is up (maybe a 2025?) in October 2024. Wish they offered the hybrid in the U.S. but would think about the EV if the price is right after I visit the dealerships in my area.

Very similar to the 2024 Kia Seltos. I'd suggest a comparison of this 2024 Kona vs 2024 Seltos. Please make sure that the trims are the same level when comparing ! Meaning don't compare a Kona N line with a Seltos SX

These days most spare tire are small donut, NOT full size. My 2022 Kona has a donut....

If only I can get the N-Line Kona with Limited model packaging like power tailgate, blind spot monitoring camera, and ventilated seats. I can live without the 360 camera and smart park feature. I just prefer the N-Line look with the body cladding fenders.

Agreed. Disappointing the options like ventilated seats aren’t available as an upgrade to an otherwise better looking n line model.

It looks fantastic inside and out! The funky column shifter will take a little getting used to but seems intuitive to operate. A column shifter frees up a lot of console space and puts the shifter closer at hand. It's the most logical placement.

I just got one in white and that was the same thing I was worried about but it’s actually not so bad , another thing would be Apple CarPlay only working with wire connected

@@yaaarightt4127 I just went Saturday to test drive and buy ours. The test drive was great but we weren't able to take it home. Hyundai released a stop sale last week until they're able to perform a recall. The dealer told me it's a software update for the trans but they don't have an ETA yet. Now I have to wait for who knows how long to go back. Hopefully they'll get the update soon so I can pick it up asap.

@@jamesreed768 I got mine in Texas , they had 3 come on a truck early and the first 2 got sent straight to Austin, we were trying to decide between the Kona and the Tuscan but something about the Kona had me stuck . I was previously driving the base model Elantra 2022 so coming from that to this is light and day

Ngl seems a bit over priced you could get one online for less. Most go for $26,000-$33,000 depending on the year

What designer was like...lets make the key-fob look like a sex toy...nothing bothers me more then the rear taillights, can only imagine what that will cost to fix just one piece of it and just give us a normal shifter...

The shifter in the N-Line & Limited trim is normal, particularly for CDL holders. If you want a so-called traditional shifter in your Kona, you want to buy the SE & SEL trim. Unfortunately, you will have to settle with the 2.0 N/A base engine and CVT.
