I got one of these as a rental car for a month. Feels more planted and nimble than a Santa Fe which I also enjoy as a rental from time to time. After working a double shift, I sat in parking lot with the heated seats on max for 20 minutes which is a selling feature all on its own. No way would I swap my F150 for one, but I’d take another Seltos as a rental any time anywhere. It’s great for grocery runs, but a little too claustrophobic for longer commutes. The front mirror obstructs the forward view a bit too much for my liking. The interior comfort is above average, but I’d hate to find out what a repair bill on one of these little imports will look like once out of warranty.

Apart from Mazda, not many Japanese and Korean cars offer AT transmission. Both CVT and Dual clutch are not reliable. The Highlights for new Kona is they off the best power train I can find in this class, 1.6 turbo engine and 8AT and 4X4.

I’m disappointed in the new Seltos design when seeing it in person. I leased a 2021 SX in Neptune blue and it was beautiful. The redesign is way too busy with the front grill, and the lighting is overdone as well on the front and back. It used to have bold sharp lines and now it’s just a mess that really looks bizarre at night. The problem with the Kona is that it’s still too small in comparison to the Seltos.

They are same size. Same length, Kona is 25mm wide and 40mm lower. You must mixed with the old Kona

@@Mason-ek6ui No, the new 2024 Kona redesign. I leased a Seltos SX for 3 years and turned it in for a Tucson Limited. While I was there I checked out the new Kona. Though the official specs are nearly identical, it’s definitely smaller in the rear and cargo area. My girlfriend felt likewise. The measurements can be misleading and the more boxy design of the Seltos really opens up the space.
