I must say, hyundai nailed it in terms of storage, use of space, family features and looks. The rear design also looks better in person than pics, but those rear indicators are located dangerously low. If ANCAP are serious about safety, then they should also focus on correct placement of lights and indicators rather than going gaga over the super-intrusive beeping stuff , that most of the drivers just want to turn off .

Practicality, they put the tail lamps that low so that they could have larger gas struts, allowing for a larger and wider opening

The back reminds me of old VW transporter, either way I see it as a safety deterrent, no one is going to want to ride up your bum with that view. Great video guys. Thank you.

I love looking at the front, yes the front, mostly the front, damn that front is B-E-A-utiful. The back looks like it's sagging, like a 90s teenager wearing oversized jeans. If the back lights were on the same height as the front lights, I would've loved looking at the back too. If the front lights were on the same height as the back, I think I'd be in love with it too. Rn it just looks like you told it "Hyundai SIT!" Edit: Here at the end of the video, I love the rear as well. It definitely grey on me fast

All the driving safety aids ar the biggest pain in the ass.. I don’t need them and don’t want them. I would like the option to turn them for good…. I currently drive a Lexus that farts and beeps at me… it’s the worse thing about new cars, Well apart from electric cars they are a complete was of money. I will stick with hybrid for as long as I can. I am due to test drive a Santa Fa this weekend (Hybrid, of course). Thanks for the video great job.

Personally I wouldn’t want the hybrid, I am not a fan of that 1.6T engine at all. I’d much prefer the diesel. Those stupid eye monitoring sensors are ridiculous and safety regulations taken too far. Crazy.

there’s been 3 instances of transmission issues and 2 of them were from car confections. they got a bad one and hyundai fixed their problem.

Correct if I’m wrong not some only 1 so far…try to see John The Pilot so will see about Toyota grand hilander they even stop production because of some issues…almost all car brands had issues from engine,safety etc…

Silly they killed the 2.2 oil burner as that little 1.6 towing something over a ton will chew the hell out of the juice and struggle to get up a hill.

They tried to copy the G-Wagon with those low taillights. But the G has a full spare back there. Bad design in the back... but they will still sell a ton of these.

They can't put a tire back there for practicality purposes. It was the only way to have a wide opening liftgate.

Yes, I heard that excuse from Hyundai, but it's silly. Those taillights could go anywhere on the that tailgate. They are only 1/2 inch deep.

With the flat tailgate Hyundai have compromised incredibly on the one thing that sells a 7 seater SUV.... space. You barely can get 6 bags of shopping in the back with the 3rd row up. Such a shame as this could have been a really strong option in what is a very small market.

The mid spec Elite is the sweet spot I reckon. Black hides the ugly rear by the look of it..... Or just get a sensible colour and close your eye when you walk around the back of it. I'll have one.

Why does the vehical say, We saw a Land Rover, Discovery 4 once. So it took them to copy a 2008 Vehicle to get a better looking interior? It is very low too the road 180mm for the long wheel base.
