The dash does resemble the big trucks. The gear shift isn’t too bad to use but you will catch yourself reaching for the old style.

There’s just something weirdly satisfying about the POP of a classic air brake valve.

You can opt for the regular parking brake and the dash remains the same. The Bendix intellipark is just standard and I’d like to think the old version actually takes some $$ off the purchase price

It's gonna take y'all a while to get used to that shifter. Allison prefer manufacturers to use those instead of the touch pad or the T-handle. If you want the T-handle, You have to opt for the flash dash.
@0312Productions2 ай бұрын
@@TellurideS13 I’m still so curious on why they did that. They could’ve made room on the nice dash for a T-handle if they wanted to. Just like personal opinion but they should’ve put the parking brake on the buses where the radio is. I know they want to keep it like the trucks for similar parts but you apply the parking brake on a bus more often than truck drivers do (every bus stop on every run).

@@0312ProductionsI agree with you. I like column shifters and this design is not a true column shift. I don’t really like it. I would have designed it like the ford F650 trucks.

2025 not 2024. I've not driven one of these yet, but we have quite a few that came in this year. The drivers I've talked to don't really seem to like them, but drivers love to complain about everything. The shifter in my car is like that, only took 2 seconds to get used to. Parking brake seems easier to use than the old style.. but to each their own. The LED headlights sure are a huge upgrade over the halogens on older buses. We have one 2025 that has halogens, I've not seen it lit up in the dark but the LED ones sure are nice.

@@wantsanewvehicle Allow me to clear up a potential misunderstanding between you and Jessie: This bus was purchased back in early spring of this year and delivered in late October, which if you look at the side of the bus in the first few seconds of the video you will see the bus number & the year it was manufactured (this bus is 57-24). The manufacturing date inside the bus also says 2024, therefore, this bus is a 2024. However, I’m not entirely sure why other companies/districts will call other buses 2025 when the bus was designed and manufactured in 2024; but yes, this bus is an official 2024 bus. Great discussion! Continue at your guys’ will if you please respectfully.

@onepunchbrothers7954 okay. That's odd though because every single other 2024 ic ce in the world is the old interior/front end. There are already 2026 bluebird visions hitting Bus company lots, and it's not even 2025 yet.. see where the confusion comes from?

@@demarcianohudley9354 The parking brake is upgraded to flick up or down instead of push or pull. This is something a lot of drivers would have to get used to since the logic behind it doesn’t quite yet click with every driver.

@@Idk-mr4wr 1) Be nice when commenting on my channel please. 2) The parking brake on this bus looks similar to all other buses but the way it is used has been upgraded. In the original parking brake you push to release and pull to engage. With the new buses you have to flick the parking brake up or down, but if you’re not used to that kind of parking brake it is a little confusing at first.
