@@RhinoAg Prices are high: a 2024 Rubicon 4 door v6 is priced at $60,064 here locally at Southfork CDJR. I bought mine there in 2021 for $45k. 25% MSRP increase in just 3 years is crazy, especially since Jeep JLUR is made here in the USA. I’m keeping mine until the wheels fall off and burn ;)

So for the power seats, the very front 4 way button is your lumbar adjustment. Left and right makes it inflate or deflate, and the up and down buttons adjust where the airbag is. So if you prefer lower back, push it down, or if you need it higher push it up! Hope that helps Matt!

It happens to the best of us. 99% of the time, their information is spot on and even more detailed than CDJR training. Mistakes happen, let's not hold it to him. They filmed this vehicle 3 months ago and knew they were uninformed on the workings of electronic adjustments - I believe they even admitted it in the first video (they definitely admitted it in another video). To say it's "not true at all" is exaggeratingly wrong. I still enjoy and appreciate their content - I'm subscribed too. I also notice they add corrections in a pinned comment but this is one thing they've been slacking on - minor issue, but still completely true lol.

My concern w the color-matched fenders is that when you squeeze through big boulders and trees they get all scratched up. While the black plastic ones not so much. as there is no paint to scratch off.

What a nice video! I've had a 2012 Rubicon Unlimited since new in April 2012. It was a factory order, so it has everything on it that I wanted, as the dealership in Provo, Utah added at my request steel front and rear bumpers, a Warn winch, a one and a half inch Tera Flex suspension lift, and a second set of wheels with Michelin tires on it. I've had this Rubicon for eleven years now. It's been 100 percent reliable except the Nav system failed in the first 12,000 miles. I was comparing the 2024 Rubicon's a few days ago on Jeep's website. I decided then that my next Ruby will be a Rubicon X. Certainly NOT black, as my wife and I moved to Hawaii in March 2019. FYI: I'd have ordered electrically adjustable front seats for my 2012 Rubicon had they been available at that time, which, of course, they were not. I'm seventy-five years old. My next Rubicon definitely will be ordered with power seats. I live on the Island of Molokai. Our beloved island is only 38 miles long and about ten miles in width. A Jeep Wrangler is more at home here on Molokai than any of the other Hawaiian Islands, but as anyone knows who travels over here from the Mainland, all of the Hawaiian Islands---including Molokai and Lanai---have many Jeep Wranglers on them. I guess WWII worked Jeep into the Hawaiian psyche just as that same war worked SPAM into the "opus" of the Hawaiian people! Great video! I've been watching your videos for the past couple of years. To build a standard rubicon with a few options and recon package costs the same as the rubicon x basically.. the biggest killer is the rubicon x with manual transmission is 0 dollar but they want 7.5k for the 2.0L and 9k to get the v6 auto 🙄😬 it starts at 75k as is..

Agree on the wheels, the OG 😂 best. If anyone’s out there, considering choosing the X solely based on the front trail camera, I actually disagree a little with you, Matt. I am currently in Ouray, Colorado. In my power wagon, I absolutely love my camera as I can’t see well over the hood. I found running our Rubicon on trails like a Ophir, last dollar Road, Alpine Loop, California Gulch/California pass, Poughkeepsie Gulch, and finally Imogene Pass…I never used or felt the need for the trail camera (looking over the hood was easy). Taking a couple optioned lines in the jeep which registered over 30° incline, I did try to use the trail camera, but it was useless, all I would see was sky. By the time I got over the obstacle, I could easily see over the hood. So certainly not a knock on this great presentation Matt put together for us, it was just my thoughts and take away on the camera option. Heading over to Moab next week, maybe my opinion will change who knows. Thanks for a great video.

Thanks for the informative video. We opted for the Rubicon X for the power seats. I’m 6’5” and was able to adjust the seats perfectly when we sat in one at Jeep Beach. Our only regret was that we couldn’t get the black fenders, but those can be swapped out easily.

That's awesome they have made it impossible for me to get the rubicon I've been saving up for! I'm so happy if I want color matched fenders I have to pay 10k extra for features I don't want! Hopefully next year they restrict and bundle even more options to make it easier on the consumers! Getting to pick what you want is just too difficult and confusing. Matt, do you know why the granite crystal metallic color is not available as a colored hardtop? Every dealership that i called said that they cannot enter a rubicon x trim for that color because the hardtop color is not available. The jeep chrysler website says otherwise when you build it out.

Idk if this has been addressed but anyone with a 2.0L keep an eye out on your coolant reservoir. They have been know to crack and leak. Went in for service this week and they found mine cracked in half. They’re saying it’s common in all the turbos

I think Jeep is trying to keep adding more top tiers. Rubicon used to be the top tier, now it's Rubicon X, or Rubicon 392. So now if you have "just" a Rubicon, you're just one step up from a Sport or Willys. Not that I am a fan of it, but I understand why Jeep is doing it. If you're going to spend money on a top end Wrangler for bragging rights, Jeep is going to be there to happily collect your money.

No Extreme Recon for the 2 door is a crime! Zero reason they cannot make it happen! I’m not a fan of painted fenders, as they are one of the first things to get scratched all to hell by tree branches and such on the trails. They look nice, but not practical if you off road your Jeep in the woods. They are really starting to price many people out too. Ridiculous prices!

@@striperking6083 Yes…I was referring to the 2024…the full time 4WD used to be an option that you could purchase instead of the standard part time 4WD. For 2024, I believe the Rubicion X package comes with it automatically.

@@keithmiller594 EDIT: Watching a different KZbin channel, and you are correct. The presenter showed the window sticker, and the X package changes the 4WD system to the 4:1 Rock-Trac Heavy Duty Full-Time 4WD System. The only difference I am seeing between the Rock-Trac and the Selec-Trac is the Rock-Trac is a manually selectable 4H Auto versus the Selec-Trac, which is an automated system with the ability to shift into 4H Part-Time that is the same as every other Wrangler. ORIGINAL COMMENT: Was just on the Jeep builder, and when you look up the Standard Features for the Rubicon X, it lists the 4:1 Rock-Trac Heavy Duty Part-Time 4WD System. Jeep lists the 2.72:1 Selec-Trac Full-Time 4WD System on the 392.

Jeep is just making you pay for more than you want if you want certain features. Just like with Dirt Creds Jeep, he would have to pay for way more than he wanted to get color fenders. Jeep and Stellantis have raised their prices 48% over the last 5 years and inflation is at 23%. Just look at how much Dirt Creds Jeep would cost today vs when he purchased it. It is basically the same Jeep

I just priced a rubicon 4 door with very few options and it was 60 grand. I might have to move away from jeep due to the price

We test drove a few 2024 wranglers. We noticed that 2.0 turbo was working OT on the hills in my area.... wWwWwWWHISTLE. Also the engine smelled like it was baking. The V6's did not. I have to say the interior of out 2011 is better than the 2023 and 2024 Wranglers. The material of our seats is brand new after all these years. No way will that new material last. Also another big downer is the cheap plastic dash and dash grip! I can feel a cheap plastic seem with flex on the back side of that handle.That's going to be rattler in no time. Jeep going cheap. Also, what's the fabric and stitching on the dash!!!! WTF were they thinking. Mall warriors unite!!! Lucky for us our Jeep is still in mint condition.

I'm getting $51,190 no options selected....white and manual trans. for factory order. Jeep dropped the ball on this one. This is not only hurting 1st time buyers....the second owner that ends up loving and modifying the Jeep more than the original owners won't be able to afford it. Let's see what Toyota does.
