What is the slide mechanism?

We looked at this and the Grand Design 22MLE. Both have plenty of head room except in the slide. The counter is low in that one, too, but not as low. It only had a queen bed and no window up front. We do most of the cooking outside when camping, so we'll probably go with the Cougar. There's a few other little things like power stabilizers, etc, that are just a little better in the Cougar.

After seeing a number of videos on the Cougar 22mls floorplan.........I finally got to see one in person recently. I didn't bash my head on the slide, but I really did not like the low countertop provided in the slide......at my 5 feet 10 inches of height, I would have been bending over the entire time I was using the stove. I understand Keystone may have done this to make everything fit in the slide, but I agree with you...........this could have been done a whole lot better and I was really dissapointed when I saw the slide room counter layout. I also would have liked a Fantastic Style fan mounted in the kitchen, and greasable suspension bolts as well. It is really not a bad floor plan, but I think I would look for another manufacturers implementation of this floor plan rather then deal with the issues above, but that is just me.

Ouch that slide is a deal breaker.

Clearly, not for 6 foot or taller. But nice for under 6 foot group of people.
