Getting to be more common among HEV and EV vehicles. But then again, after 5 Hyundai vehicles, I've never used the spare in the first place.

I ave the 2023 Ex Hybris and it is great. Plenty of power, getting on the highway is good and so is passing. Excellent cushy ride, does well abosorbing the bumps. 50 mpg around town, 45 in cold weather. Much better ergonmics than Prius. Ver yeasy to get in and out. Good leg room in the back. I bought a spare tire on Ebay and it fits underneth in the back. 6 speed automatic. Smooth, refined and quiet.

No turbo “things are a little bit different”??? What the heck are you saying? I don’t understand code. Are you saying it’s weak on power, because it’s not the turbo?
@danethorson3 ай бұрын
It has electrical motor to assist acceleration as well as moving below 20km/h or reversing. So it is "turbo+" in a sense. Because electrical motor is more powerful and responsive than any common turbocharger.

I had a 4th gen Prius and that car was near perfect for what it was, the only downside really being the ground clearance. I've lost count of the times I would exit a packing lot and just smash the bottom of the car on the curb, or hear and feel one way spikes open into the bottom of the car right after the front wheels went over them in some packing lots. This made every new parking lot feel stressful because the car is lower in the front and higher in the back. Then I got a company 2021 Niro PHEV and it was so refreshing not to worry about these things anymore, but the cargo capacity of that car was really small because of the extra battery. Next week I'm getting a brand new 2024 Niro Hybrid since the current one is at the end of its lease, good to see from your video that I'll be getting a better trunk again.

After reading the CR Auto Issue, I'm now adding Niro PHEV to my list of vehicles to check out for 2024-2025 (after Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid and Kona Limited ICE or EV).

One month later... after taking test drives, I'm ditching Hyundai and Toyota, and going with a 2024 KIA NIRO PHEV for my next vehicle!!! Looking forward to driving every day in EV mode only!!! Gas here in NJ is going up, up, up, and even though the State is now charging a one time fee for driving electric vehicles -- it's fair, we don't pay gas taxes -- I will save a boat load of cash NOT paying weekly for a tank of gasoline.

@@Steve_in_NJ Its the shame that in the States we don't get the Hyundai Kona HEV version Yet. They have it in the European markets, and I think in Korea where they make it. Thats the one thing holding me back from the Kona Limited or the Kona SEL trim with Convenience package. The only downside with me getting a Kia is I have to go out of town to get the vehicle serviced because I don't have a kia dealer nearby and that's kind of annoying.

If one were to lease a Niro plug in hybrid - and ran it totally on electricity (my cost from my utility is $ 0.18 per kwh). Hence the total cost would be $300 per year for electricity. If one ran the Niro on gasoline rating only of 50 mpg with gasoline at $3.00 per gallon the total cost would be would be $600 per year (10,000 miles). One could scale this up for the number of miles they expect to drive and adjust the costs accordingly. Hence for 10,000 miles per year with a potential max savings of $300 or $25 per month is a Plug In Hybrid make financial sense ? How many miles per year does one have to drive to justify paying extra for the plug-in feature ?
