I started riding in 93, a 125 was $4300 and my mtn bike was $1200. This is $11,000 and my last mtn bike was $5500. At 50, never lost money on marriage and or kids; money for bikes hasn’t been an issue. I can’t imagine how dudes with wives and kids keep up financially.

@@MX-CO I work with all kinds of people that have kids and I have kids. Yes, there are surely people that marry uneducated or unambitious women. That’s a very poor choice. In general, most people have a big advantage from dual incomes, big tax breaks, split expenses, and a plethora of other things. Just like everything else a lot is ambition and management.

they should make the new premier class 350 4-stroke with 300 2-stroke and in the lites class it should be 250 2-stroke and 250 4-stroke

My local dealer has a ‘24 fc 350 for $7,700. I’m really thinking hard about pulling the trigger. I’m your average weekend warrior, not a fast guy. This is a hell of a deal. Will I notice the stiff frame issue? Is it enough of a reason to pass on it and pay 3,500 more for the ‘25? I’d appreciate the feedback. I’m currently riding a ‘22 tx 300 that I will keep for the woods.

That’s a smoking deal, I’d totally snag that if I were you. You won’t really notice the “stiff” feeling at the skill level you’re saying you are, my friends at a similar skill level didn’t. I have a ‘24 fc450 and noticed it a little in the first 5 hours but after that 10 hour mark it got amazing. It’s probably the best feeling bike I’ve owned, my only regret would be getting the 450 over the 350.

@ sweet man thanks for the information! It’s so hard to pick a model because they all have their pros and cons. Don’t stress about ur decision just enjoy it. The fc 450 is a sick bike!

@@kurtheidelbach Teams are interested in good finishes. The only way to get a consistent good finish is to get a good start. Unless it offers insane levels of late race speed you couldn’t even convince a team to let you run one

@@baylonjones3771you must have forgotten when the 350 debuted in like 2012 they had a bunch of guys running the 350 in supercross and they had pretty decent results. Dungey was the top guy at the time and he still rode the 450 but I think Mike Alessi and musquin rode the 350.

The added torque is snappy in lower speed turns. My buddies '23 FC felt agile/lighter with it's response and pull into the mid-range. A less aggressive Vet might be better off on the previous years.

Nothing like a 450, I agree that the 350 is cool but still the same struggle of a 250, 13400 rpm for power is crazy…

That's not good. Usually smoke out breather is blowby at the piston. Are you a fast racer that red lines it? If so rings/piston at 20 hours of hard racing isn't unheard of.

@@crazychad2720 that’s my thoughts exactly, I’ve never heard of it. local A class in Colorado so in reality like a national near the back of the pack B rider😂 I do rev it out slot but normally stay away from redline and I try not to beat it. I’ve put over 500 hours on the 4 strokes and usually do pistons at 60 or so and have never had this issue. So I am kind of stumped. I guess I’ll do a leak down and see what I can find out, thanks for the reply.

Blowby at the piston is my guess, only due to the fact that the breather only smokes if there is positive crankcase pressure and from what I know that can only build when rings are bad, or head gasket as well but it’s got 20 hours so I kind of take that out of the equation.
