Just did these exact mods to my 701 2 weeks ago. Runs absolutely amazing now and she scoots. It was a pain in the arse to install though and put a decent dent in my bank account. But worth it if your keeping the bike. Mine ran like shit without the tune. Cant wait for your review!

Awesome video man! I saw that you removed the exhaust baffle, isn't it causing a lack of power (specially at the higher revs) due to the lack of back pressure? When I removed the baffle from my Arrow exhaust on my 690 it significantly reduced the power at the high rpm's 🤔

Reduces powet everywhere i think, if proper tuning is not applied. Least you can do after any modification is turn off bike, turn on, hit ignition and let the bike alone running at idle for 15 minutes. it is called idle resetting i think it reads sensors and adjusts fueling.

A question on the air filter. A friend of mine had a 690 with the Rottweiler air filter setup. One day he asked me if he could borrow my KTM 690 Ergo seat to see how it felt. I rode over there and we swapped seats and went for a ride. When we got back we swapped seats again and I noticed there was air filter oil all over the bottom of my seat that was on his bike. It appears that there is no clearance between the top of the air filter and the bottom of the seat which makes me wonder how much effective filter area is actually available. Have you seen any contact (filter oil on the seat pan) between the filter and the seat on your installation? I am wondering if he has something a bit off on his installation.

This is very typical the R/W filter always touches the seat. All people have the problem but few talk about it. Rade garage is a good solution with 20% more airflow (real, it touches nothing) than the original. Then, there are the cone style that have max performance. The ones that turn towards the front can be placed with same battery.

You do gain some horsepower, but the biggest difference is the power and torque gain is mostly in the low and mid range, which is where it makes this bike so fun to ride. I did all the same mods to mine and it was like a whole different bike.

You go up to about 83hp I have the dyno sheets but the big foam filter ain’t as good as the air box mod funny enough as it swaps mid range for high range

These bikes have double balancing shafts and have almost zero vibrations. Sound is great. Their motor is a miracle of smoothness and full range power. Ergonomics are perfect too.

🤣 They say about 10 hp gain which is significant. I love that it removes some more weight and less bs on the bike. It amazes me that all the bs they out on a bike these days to make it emissions compliant which seems to get more strict every year, eventually, we'll all be forced to ride electric vehicles only so enjoy the combustion engines while you can.

@@CycleCruzaSome HP at the top end is very nice. But the real party and the max HP gain is before that in low to mid revs, with excellent throttle response and 10+ HP gains. Euro5 really kills low mids. Also, extra max power will harm a bit the engine, extra low power will mostly not!

Another 690/701 taken by the crappy Rottweiler intake... KTM tuners in Austria wouldn't touch it with a stick. And stop raving about "insane power" when these bikes are proven to gain about 3% maxHP and 10-15% maxTorque on the dyno with a proper ECU flash, not some rinky-dinky, canned PC tune.

@@constantinosschinas4503 I dont think theres any piggyback on the market can nullify all the emission crap they put on this bike its not simply a lean afr map, they added many tricks and detection software. Just flash the damn ecu to cleanly remove all of it without adding any electronics

I can never understand someone taking an expensive, engineered product and doing this backyard BS to it. You have destroyed the intake resonance and removed pollution controls. Troubleshooting in the future will be a difficult now that it is no longer stock.
