If you take the new infotainment screen out, the interior is a downgrade from the older Lexus interiors. Surprised Lexus don’t use wood these days

Every Lexus Interior sucks now outside of the LC500 and LS500. Dare I say on the level of an Acura now and even the CX90 has more style and better colors

Lynn, u got it wrong. its the 3rd generation lexus gx, not the 4th. did u skip 14 years or something? also, the legroom is around 31 or 32 inches, those numbers are wrong for the third row

If there's one thing I'd change from this one, is the dashboard. Not the material but the arrangement and design.. Too asymmetrical too weird.. Very poor dashboard design.

The old interior looked better. Like it was more cohesive and less reminiscent of a Toyota.

Really??? She literally called that 14-year-old design “terrible”. But I guess you know better. Thank God you can go buy that in the used car market! Maybe look for one without all the new-fangled tech 😏

@@re14437 she said the technology was terrible. Given the vehicle wasn't updated for years that may be true but the actual design is a matter of preference

It's not that Toyota has ever signified luxury, but Lexus is another matter... and they do seem to have increasingly gone to the cheap school lately. I had a 99 Toyota Solara, its first year, and it truly was a wondrous vehicle,.. a lot of people mistook it especially on the interior for a Lexus, particularly on the high-end trims. The Solara was essentially a Camry coupe, which they had literally the prior gen (I had one, an excellent 1996 SEV6) - which was a fairly low volume two-door Camry inside and out. The Solara was another matter, sharing very little superfically with the Camry, mostly common switchgear and the same under-carriage/chassis- suspension/drivetrain.... but an entirely different body shell and at least the visually apparent and touchy-feely interior bits. The point being that I would expect at least that kind of "Lexified" interior treatment on this new LEXUS GX.

just test drove one, I am 5’7” and it was tight for me sitting in the back. You’re better off just keeping the back row down and extending your cargo space

I still see it as a compact gas guzzler SUV. My Rx is as spacious as this car.

This has quite simply the worst interior in the segment. That also goes for just about every Lexus except the lc500

Looks fine to me. I’m sure others will feel similarly if they find value in the other aspects of the vehicle.

@@ALMX5DPthe point is a very Lexus price that one is paying for a much less than Lexus interior. If that's okay with you, you're good to go!

@@springertube to me everything is inflated these days in terms of pricing. This may not have the same interior treatment as someone’s grandmothers Lexus had but I feel it’s still comparable to the competition.

@@ALMX5DP All true. Having lived through and driven the better Lexus era interiors, one gets spoiled and has higher expectations, especially for the particularly lofty price. That said, I would be quite happy to have a 550 fall on my lap!
