It's a great vehicle for small families that don't need a larger SUV (RX350h or RX500h) or a three row SUV (Highlander). It's efficient and luxurious for the highest trim. I tried to obtain one starting in December and seven Lexus dealers in Texas said to forget it, they could not obtain one for months. I also tried to obtain an RX350h and they said 9 to 12 months plus pay a $2,000 deposit just to get on a list and no guarantee about obtaining the trim and colors/options that I wanted. I dropped the whole thing in April. PS-I was able to obtain (April) a 2023 Lexus ES300h, Ultra Luxury Trim plus additional options and dealer add-ons because the person that wanted it dropped out. We drove 300 miles to review her and decided to buy. Love the vehicle, it has 25 less h.p. than the NX350h; however I'm averaging over 41+ MPG in the City. 🤔

I just bought the NX350h Luxury atomic silver and palomino. I waited almost 2 years to get it because of the difficulty of finding that particular color combo. The Es300h Ultra-luxury is awesome. Very refined. I was considering it. I already have a 2019 GS350 fsport which I love but I needed a compact SUV for practical reasons. The ES doesn't have foldable back seats. If it had, I would have gotten that instead of the NX. Enjoy.

@@josefernandez2722 Great job, I wanted an NX or RX hybrid as well; however seven Texas Lexus dealers told me to forget about the NX and there was a 9 to 12 month wait for the RX350h. That was in February. Enjoy your NX and change out the factory oil & filter at 1,000 miles like Scotty Kilmer and The Car Care Nut say "Oil & filters are cheap, engines are expensive". Oh, and change it every 5,000 miles or six-months thereafter, whichever occurs first. You will not regret it. 😎

Sometimes I felt like the manufacture + reviewer are doing some bait-and-switch false sense by advertising "The car cost $40k for the base trim, then $45 for the better trim with hybrid; but then they make and review the vehicle trim that would cost you $55k because it has all the features and upgrades that are very presentable to the public. But then as a buyer I would be looking at this very high feature and cool looking vehicle while thinking $45k price range, and keep getting disappointed and need to "forcibly" understand that the $45k trim only have feature A and B, and does not come with C,D, and E depicted in the video. Such as uncool looking front, bad looking rims, smaller tires, no accent, downgraded seats, no sunroof, no power liftgate, and not in a color tone wanted. Would have been easy to just show me the $40k base trim and then the $55k full trim, and tell me which specific upgrades will be added to my price point (Instead of me needing to do the mindset downgrade because of your faulty inception).

I get your point, but the benefit to having the reviewer go with the highest trim is that they cover EVERYTHING. If they reviewed the base model, it would leave many questions, like, "I didn't get to see the sunroof in action. I didn't get to see the heads-up display in action. What about the 360 parking feature?" If you plan on buying the base model, then you at least know which features you won't be getting.

I own the 2022 version of this Lexus and love it. I have found the lane tracing to be excellent. I’ve owned several cars with LKAS and this one is by far the best. My wife has the 2023 infinity QX60 and it is not even close with its lane keeping.

Bought this car two weeks ago and love it. What he didn’t mention is it also have a digital key, which means you can download the app and the cars starts just the same as if you have the actual key. I can leave the key at home as long as I have my phone with me.This is perfect for when you are going out and you are using a small pocketbook.

The electric motors / generators are part of that transmission as well. I have a Rav4 hybrid and like it but this Summer, going to trade for an NX 350h. Getting the age that I'm going to drive what I want as opposed to just being practical alone.

Not too bad of a review but you could see he is very biased. Makes everything into positive. For example, the blindspot and thicker pillars - oh, it is for safety… 🙄 please… there are plenty safe cars with thinner pillars. I mean i like this car but there has to be a measured enthusiasm - the downsides have to be acknowledged but those arent deal breakers. I’d much rather he said, hey you have a digital review that compensates or the blind spot monitor that helps you with that…

It may seem pedantic, but the hybrid system has what they call an "E-CVT" which is a planetary gear set, vs what you describe, that is, a regular CVT with cones and a chain. I agree that at the end of the day, the motor still sounds as though the car has a traditional CVT.

When Lexus does the right thing and sells the NX with quality non run flat tires like the Michelin Sport 5 and not the noisy / bumpy riding non flat tires I might consider. Also meaning if I ordered normal quality tires for the best available tried quality, Lexus would have to provide the rear with a proper pot to store the spare tire and jack. Currently there is no space for this. Run flats should only be an option for those people are not capable of changing a tire. A situation that offers the safest situation to get you home in case of a tire problem.

I have a 2022 version and wonder whether they’ve made any changes to the software to make it safer for women to be in. If not I don’t recommend you buy this car. It’s not safe because there are situations where you can’t lock the doors. When you open the hatch all 4 doors unlock. If you want to lock them you can’t, even if you try-not with the key, not using the lock button inside the door, not with the touch lock on the door handle. With effort you can get the dealer to change this as it’s a dealer programmable option, but it will only work with the key fob. If you use the “hands free” option to open the hatch all 4 doors will unlock and you can’t change that. Another problem is that you can only lock the doors if all 4 doors are closed. One of the most unsafe features is that the default setting is for all 4 doors to unlock when the car is put in park. Luckily this is an option that can be changed on the vehicle settings. Make sure to change that right off the bat as there is no audible feedback to indicate whether the doors have been locked or unlocked. If you miss the little display on the dash you won’t know it happened.

I've owned the Lexus ES 300h (hybrid version of ES 350 sedan) since 2016 - NEVER had any issue. I ordered 2024 NX 350h & just waiting! I'd say the Toyota family has really perfected the hybrid technology

Something to look for when you purchase the NX 350 is there are two different premium packages. My girlfriend bought one also but hers did not have all the extra features like mine. The sticker says No 2024/9835 A has heads up display, panoramic view and illuminated door sills, of course with a higher price. The only difference between the luxury and the premium is the luxury edition has panoramic sunroof and Mark Levinson speakers.

It's a permanently engaged planetary gearset with two motor generators changing the ratio between the engine and the driveshaft. You're blabbing about generic CVTs and rubber banding pretending to know something, but you haven't done any research and it's obvious.

I have the 2022 350h premium with 14 inch screen and 18 inch tires. Switched to regular Michelin Defender LTX tires and totally vouch for this suv. Have 33k miles abd no electric or mechanical issues . Getting 40 mpg overall .

Are you driving in cold weather? If yes your MPG will go down. If making short trips in cold weather, it uses more fuel to warm up. Try to drive gently or moderately

He conveniently skipped on the suspension which apparently many people thought is too stiff for a luxury car.

I'm a little tempted to think I should have got this instead of the Camry hybrid XSE because mine rattles like crazy after 5k miles but...these windows are tiny for an SUV. I can't stand tiny windows. To me it doesn't look cool and sporty, it just look stupid. I'd like to see out of the car, especially when it's as tall as this. If I wanted small windows I'd get a Camaro, thanks.

$56K, ouch...Glad I own a bicycle. I have test driven the NX350 and it is a good vehicle: IMO. BUT, for a tick over $40K a Mazda CX50 is faster, has more torque, hp, AND is available at a discount. But, I get it, this is a Toyota product that will last and last. Keep in mind that the hybrid battery will have to be replaced eventually in this vehicles life cycle. Thats another $4-$5K down the road. Sooo, some of that gas savings will become a bit negligable. Lastly, for snow purposes and bad weather, the AWD system is OK, obviously a set of snow tires for the wise.

I have the 2021 Venza hybrid. There are cost savings to offset the battery replacement cost, beside gas savings. No starter, no alternator, brakes should last 100,000 miles. Heat destroys brakes, and the hybrid turns the heat into electricity. I’ll be getting a new car, a 2024 or 2025. After reading a ton of complaints about stop start systems in gas engines. The BMW X1, which I was considering, has so many haters of its stop start system, that I won’t get it. Hybrids don’t have a start stop. They just shift into the electric mode, and then pressing the gas pedal makes it go. Hybrids are also very quick off a full stop.

It is impossible to custom order a vehicle through Lexus. They have an allocation system and the dealer will try and match you up with a manufactured vehicle but it will not match your exact specifications. So be prepared to get a different color, interior or options than what you want.

the GV70 just removed some options for 2024 and moved them to their most expensive trim... for instance the 2023 has ventilated seats in the select package but now you have to get the sport prestige to have ventilated seats (+10k from base)... greedy

Actually, the NAV Large screen LARGE NAV directions is angled twd the driver and set forward to the driver so the "Touch Screen" is easy and convenient to reach...LUV LUV LUV the screen additionally the 450h+ "F" Sport has "HUD" heads up display EXCELLENT will never get any vehicle with out this feature GV70 does not have......I bought a DOG GV70 two years ago had it for a little over three months and the DOG threw a valve.....had to have it towed to service the rebuilt head and was out a brand new DOG KOREAN vehicle.......lost 11K and sold this DOG immediately!
