I do enjoy your videos. You were talking about a Southern ride. The Talimena Scenic Drive is a beautiful ride through the Kaimashi Mountains, starts in Talihina, Oklahoma, and ends in the Mina, Arkansas area. Or vice versa, whichever way you want to start from. Especially beautiful in the fall. Bee safe, keep up the great rides. Thank you for sharing.

Chattanooga is a tough ride. A lot of crazy cagers there. That gas station you stopped in Tennessee is called a Wiegels, pronounced (Ygels). Mike and I have been there several times.

I-66 to I-81 is a GREAT run as you head south toward Harrisonburg, VA. Beautiful country down there. I try to ride down toward Luray, VA when I get enough free time. A Tennessee meetup would be amazing. Straight shot down I-81 for us here in the DMV (DC/MD/VA). Set the cruise at 75mph and steer with the butt. If you'd want any help planning something/leading a group from the North East, I'm game! 😀 - Nate

The large plant you passed after the Lake Charles bridge is Phillips 66 with Excel Paralubes and Sasol in the back. The plant you passed by Houston - Baytown should be the Chevron/Phillips joint venture. Polyethylene and PAO Synthetic base oils are made there.

As a local to where you pulled over an someone who has fixed a flat right there, thats not a great place to pull over. If you had already crossed in to Georgia, you would have been been wrong about the law. Georgia's move over law only applies to emergency vehicles as i understand. Tennessee's move over law does cover you to but its fairly new an the news only ever talks about it covering emergency vehicles. I know more than one cop that has been rear-ended on that short section of I-24 that is in Georgia. It would not have have been surprised if a cop had pulled over to fuss at you. You were about 10 minutes from nickajack dam. You can camp there. Payed camping on the east side, free camping on the west. Tennessee is also pretty good about letting you camp pretty much anywhere. Especially near the river.

Yep, I usually ride with a hydration backpack for the longer trips. My favorite one died during the 2023 Cannonball when it fell off the scoot and was intentionally murdered by a guy in a Suburban. I use the Geigerrig RIG 500 pressurized hydration packs ( amzn.to/3X3uX99 ) because they are multi-use... hydration, wash station, water purifier, etc. I need to buy another one soon. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

Off subject since you were mentioning the "power players" so to speak... have you noticed that nowadays there's so many recalls on food pretty frequently? I believe it's more to this than meets the eye...or it might be just me
@QuasiMotard6 ай бұрын
@@jaycahuenga6416 The substances that pass for "food" these days is pretty appallng. The chemicals, additives, and GMO constituents are purely driven by profit, greed, and evil. There is no logcal reason for "food" to contain so many toxic and carcinogenic compounds unless it's a deliberate act designed to effect a specific action or to suit an agenda. The FDA isn't looking out for public health at all; they are a profit-driven enterprise, so that's a direct conflict of interest. 🤔

Another cracking vido. What is the white sauce on the meal @26:22
@QuasiRAW6 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! That's white gravy, made with flour, fat or shortening as a binder (usually beef or bacon fat), milk or creme, water, and spices (like black pepper). If you haven't had it before, the flavor is hard to describe... somewhat salty and creamy at the same time. 😉👍 --QM

The 180 degree wide angle spot mirror is a terrific idea, i just got one for my fj-09. Did you do anything special to mount it or just used the sticker and stick it to your shield? Really enjoying your videos!
@QuasiRAW6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I just used the original adhesive (3M VHB) that came in the mounts. I cleaned the windscreen with alcohol and heated the surfaces with a hair dryer to ensure a good bond. It has been stuck on there for 8 years so far! Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

Where did you get the wiide angle mirror
@QuasiRAW5 ай бұрын
That's the RiderScan Blindspot Mirror: amzn.to/3nJjXLp . If that one is out of stock, then there are several knock-offs that are cheaper and seem to work almost as well ( amzn.to/49WKaNu ). You can search Amazon or Ebay for "parabolic blindspot mirror" to find alternatives. This mirror really helps situational awareness in traffic because you can see 180° behind you. There is a learning curve to use it properly because the image is distorted by the mirror's convex shape, but it becomes second nature after a few hours of riding. The convex shape also minimizes sun and headlight glare because it's refracted away (vs. being directly reflected or concentrated). It's very rare for me to be caught off-guard with a cager hiding in my blind spot while I'm riding with one of these mirrors. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
