10:30 with all due respect the costs are because your in a very remote area. It costs a lot to get supplies up there. This is normal and common in northern remote areas of Canada. 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s the cost of doing business in the great white north remote areas - gotta pay for the view

One of the things I did in northern B.C. and Yukon is i planned my gas stops on Google and then I phoned each gas station to make sure they would be open. It's a bit extra work but the Army taught me. Time in recce is seldom waisted

Monotonous scenery…. Ride across Nebraska and Kansas to give urself a gauge. Every time after that, no matter how monotonous the scenery seems I always remind myself….at least it’s not Nebraska and Kansas.😃 Everything is relative. Love ur content!

Lots of parallels... We took the ferry up the Inside Passage to Prince Rupert. Also stayed at the Inn on the Harbor. Felt similar frustration at the Kitwanga gasoline station (which we compounded by eating at the restaurant). Stayed at the Bell II Lodge with plans to continue north. Those plans were thwarted by thunderstorms, so we headed back south. I particularly regret it now, having seen your footage. Another parallel, I'm also 5'9", and a few years older than you (69). After BC trip I decided it was time for something lighter and less tall than my 2017 R1200GS. Thinking about a Triumph Tiger 850. But I have to sell the GS first. It's been on the market since August and surprisingly, no takers.

Yes I know what you mean, I stopped at Prince Rupert on our southerly ride. We chose the old Fish Cannery for our attraction. Susquatch is getting a little grey.

Great episode. Seeing the Royal Enfield Himalayan actually made me think I could ride mine everywhere. It's not a good highway bike above 65mph , which I could put a 16 tooth front gear to lower the rpm . I did get on a low seat Triumph 1200 and with it fully loaded , I could easily ride it at 5'9". Amazing views and boat ride looked fun. I grew up in Springfield Ma. I will have to search your channel to see if any New England adventures. I loved riding my sport bike to the Cape . Thanks for sharing your adventures

I am planning a trip to Alaska next year, I am riding a 2018 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager 1700 ABS. I love this bike for 2 reasons. It's affordable and reliable. I also really like your videos. After all, I am 72 years old myself!

I rode to Sacramento from SLC yesterday (about 700 miles). I ate nuts and protein drinks along the way that I brought from home. But once I got here I found a “Mahi Wasabi burger”. Hit the spot!

I took an Alaska cruise several years ago. One of the stops was Prince Rupert. We had really nice weather I guess I was lucky too. Now you have me thinking about a motorcycle trip there. :)

I know this video posted late last night, here on the East coast but I'm watching on Sunday morning while eating my breakfast and, lo and behold, I'm having breakfast with Craig right at the start. A satisfying meal and hot cup of coffee goes a long way after the cold and wet. Great segment of your trip, albeit just a tad moist. The Prince Rupert rest day seemed great and that scenery around Bell 2 was very nice even with the weather. Best wishes to the kid on the new Himalayan. I hope he let's you know what he decided to do with his trip and what he thought of the RE.

Thank you for sharing your trip. A few years ago I went to Alaska via Canada and did not have time to go to Prince Rupert. You have inspired me to take another trip to see the parts i missed. You are so right about the gas stops. I found that there were several gas stations that were closed. I never ran completely out but came close. Get gas when you can. Good advise!

A couple of my wife’s distant relatives married a couple of those soldiers working on the Alaska Hwy. The offspring to my knowledge, still live in Texas I believe and I’ve been told the “cousins” of said family remain in touch with their Alberta counterparts.

I own a motorcycle since 5 years ago, me an my wife have travel more in these 5 years than before. I find it always funny when visitors from USA complain about the price of things in Canada. It s the samething as in USA. You have to do the maths on conversion. A 30 $ burgers is not cheap as McD but it s not so bad because at end it meens you ve paid ...22 $ not enough to complain about from my own point of view.

Must be a regional thing. Here in western WA most Harley riders are rarely seen on the road, but most commonly in clusters at taverns on fair weather days only.
