I did see the unveiling of the new 2025 Vantage and was blown away. 260k is a lot for that car. Will most likely be my next if BMW can’t get their act together for another big coupe, it was absolutely gorgeous. Hated the old vantage. New one is incredible.

The trouble with the m8 was not the car. The trouble was that it was mostly a slightly upgraded m6, that was later called m8 and thus had a massive price increase. However, since then, every other car like the SL, 911 all had ridiculous price increase and all of a sudden, the m8 price seems more “reasonable”

The M6 and the M8 Competition are “nothing” alike. I had an M6 Grand Coupe and now have an M8 Competition Coupe and it’s night and day. Most people that make such comments do so based on videos or photos and the truth is that videos and/or photos don’t do the M8 Comp any justice. It’s a very imposing car; anywhere I have taken it to. Stangs have a very similar profile in videos and perhaps even in person; but when you put them side by side they look nothing alike. Look at the videos from Edmunds when they are drag racing them and you’ll see how much more refined is the M8 exterior.

@@akshaysankarshana2405 DB9S is one of my all-time favorites. I think it’s one of the prettiest cars ever, and I often follow them on the auction sites. They’re just getting kind of old. I wouldn’t drive it daily, like I would the M8. As for the LC, it would make a great daily, and there’s a ton to like about it. I just really get turned off by the headlights and taillights, which look to me like they’re melting. The overall shape and interior, however, are very nice. My sister looked at a used LC before buying a new E450 coupe, but it would have been cool to experience the LC.

@@EmmyJune212008 Nice. True. Also, the LC500 doesn't have that much of sporty handling as a DB9S or that M8. I would want to have a V12 Vantage S 7sp Manual. That to me would be the best handling, best sounding, best riding, luxurious enough, riot of a sports car to drive and then be brilliant to cruise on the highway, like a GT. Love that engine, love that car. I would have wanted the M8 to be the same recipe as the one that BMW showed in the 90s: McLaren F1 V12, Manual, RWD. Add to it all the comfort in the world, and that would have been the best Sports Car GT ever. I can only wish that it had happened.

To celebrate my 50th birthday we hired its baby brother the M850 in Munich and done 2300km in it. I’m a changed person after driving this car on the autobahn. I like the understated M lite cars, they feel like true daily drivers cars and the full M’s are for people to show off. You also need to drive in Germany, the track is one thing but doing 200km/h and then some gives you another angle that you just cannot appreciate anywhere else and you realise this is a core engineering element in German cards. 160km/h on the autobahn and it feels like a Sunday drive at 90.

The rear diff in these BMWs isnt just so drifty because of how much in locks, but also because of the way it uses torque vectoring to overdrive the outside wheel and then it locks

I own one, and it’s the most amazing vehicle. It constantly surprises both myself and quite a few others who challenge it. Not to mention you can drive the thing 600 miles and feel like going to the gym after, not to the hot tub to soothe an aching back like my Porsche owning friends. PS the rear seats are ridiculous. There’s absolutely no need for them other than to display the gorgeous two tone interior.

This car is amazing. This is technically the spiritual successor to E63 M6 which is one of my favorite cars of all time. I love this losing the rear in RWD mode. These things have always been luxury Vipers going back to the E63. I would love to see you guys find a decent condition E63 M6 and do a video on that with the V10.

DRS reduces drag for more straight line speed. It's not really for the car behind, it's to get a free boost under a tow behind another car or for higher lap times. In F1, there are multiple DRS zones on a track that allow you activate it during a race if you are within 1 second behind the car ahead.

So, guys, I've watched your channel for a long time and I know you have both spent some time in some really capable and fast cars. However, we know neither of you have a racing background, unlike some other KZbinrs who review cars. BUT, when I see what Thomas is doing with this car at about 9:37, I have to say you have some skill. I'm no expert of course, but when you see enough people going fast in a car, you eventually can recognize someone who is skilled and confident running a car at its limits, and I think that describes what I saw at 9:37. Sometimes a small bit of information makes significant changes in perception. You might want to show more of that type of footage. Perhaps from both of you. It provides more Cred. if you get my meaning? It's nice to actually see that someone who is giving an opinion of the capability of the car, can actually do something with that capability. Sure, there are the numbers for the lap times, but that is not seeing it. Nice addition! Oh, and as always, I love the type of connection and interaction you two have on the channel.
