I beg Mazda, when it comes time to either facelift refresh the Mazda 3/CX-30 or a completely new generation, please do not mess with the front fascia. It still looks so damn good and aggressive after this many years. Don't mess with what isn't broken. Don't give it a generic face like the CX-90/70. Don't dull the sharpness of the grill like they did with the most recent CX-5 refresh either...

The only thing they can but dont have to change it the taillights, its not bad but the rest of the car is perfect. But seeing new Mazda's I am sure they will do well, they keep doing their own thing unlike other brands.

@@FurkanSavasI agree, the tail lights are the only thing I'd like to see change. I love the semi circle ribbon of LEDs with it's 3d effect when you walk by and turn signal in the centre target but the surrounding tail light insert shape is a bit long or wide or something.

I 100% agree- they need to make a 2 seater sports version but just keep the front, that's why I bought mine

I like the rear even more than the front. Honestly the entire exterior aesthetic is nearly perfect which is probably why it hasn't aged at all. It still looks better than any other car out there. If they were to do a refresh I would hope its only subtle exterior tweaks that make it look more sleek. Interior could use color changing interior illumination on the next generation but all in all its just so damn nice.

Truly one of the great remaining ice cars. Thanks for doing a review of this one, i drive a 2022 premium plus awd (from new). I like the car, it's a comfortable & quiet cruiser. my closest friends and I are under 5'8 in height and we enjoy space and luxury this car offers us. G-Vectoring Control Plus is fantastic, it really helps make long trips less fatiguing as well as makes corners great fun. I'm so glad Mazda apply this much attention to detail these days. They deserve more credit than given, everything is just made with thought. Elbow comfort is what really swayed my decision after my test drive back then. Good review!

Bought my Mazda 3 Astina (Preferred in the US) Hatch 4 months ago and put 1000kms (approx. 600miles)in that time. We then took it on a 5400km (3300Mile) trip to the north of Australia and couldn't be happier with the car. The night driving was soo comfortable and the adaptive lights meant I could do the entire trip without once having to dim the lights for oncoming traffic. The car is one of the best I've had for minimizing fatigue on long trips. A real gem of a car!

In addition to hybrids, we also need a Spirit Racing Mazda 3 and CX-30. Bigger/better brakes and better tires from the factory. After extensively driving the Turbo 3 hatch, one of its main deficiencies is that the brakes are weak for the power and weight of the car and the Turanza tires leave a lot to be desired in both grip and noise.

Great review, but a few things: - The rotary dial works perfect in Android Auto, don't ever need the touch screen, it's too far anyway which was intended by Mazda since it's more distracting - Don't need a gazillion gear in a low rpm torque monster like this, feels more like an inline 6 or V6 then a V8, but so smooth and torquey, BTW a tune revives the high rpms. - Why need a panoramic sunroof, you wont even see it from the front seat and loosing rigidity and probably add weight. - You reviewers mostly get press cars, which have been abuse on the brakes, no problems on mine and feels pretty grabby.

I averaged 36.4mpg on my last tank ('22 turbo hatch), which was mostly a 260 mile round trip in the northeast US. Mostly highway, with some putzing around a New Hampshire city and then driving out to trailheads on some awesome back-roads through the mountains and lakes. And I wouldn't say I was exactly going under the speed limit. Driving only in stop-go conditions it's going to be bad, I get 21-24 around my city. But being stuck driving in a city is miserable already and not why I bought it. The bad city milage is just further incentive to get out to good roads

Depends on your commute, my commute is like 50% backroads 50% idling in the city and I'm getting 9.8-10.2L/100KM, or roughly 24MPG average, for me that is fine especially because even though this car is turbocharged you can throw 87 octane in it no problem. On drives where I only took the highway I got an impressive 7.0-8L/100KM or 29-33 MPG and I usually push it on the highways lol

I know I'm the odd case here, I don't understand how electric vehicles will work for someone who needs to visit 6 job sites in a day and then make it home while heating up the cabin from winter temperatures at each stop and limited charging infrastructure in place. Hopefully everyone else's driving habits are more suited to the limitations of a battery powered car but I don't think electric can quite match the versatility and convenience of the internal combustion engine for users like myself. Even if the civic was worse than a Mitsubishi mirage it would sell more. It's not a problem of demand, it's a supply/production difference. Honda has a significantly higher capacity for production than Mazda, and aside from the CTR all Honda's and Acura's are built here in the US. The Mazda3 shares production lines with hotter vehicles like the CX-30 in MX or their other SUVs in Japan. And has to be shipped. The good news is that they don't really care about selling more than others, they just care about selling enough to be profitable, which the 3 continues to do quite well.

This car is ridiculous. Outdated, too small, way overpriced, has a beam axel?? For 40K? Are you joking?? GTI, GLI, Elantra N Line, Kia K4..they all blow this car to hell.

GTI, GLI, Elantra N Line, Kia K4...all FWD, so apples to orange. Then some are cheaper and others less reliable. Turbo 3's a lot better.

Yes its $40k but its also the top tier trim. Just like the GTI Autobahn is $40k. So no, its not way overpriced.
