The stupidest thing they've done with the new GT, is that they didn't make a direct convertible version for it. The SL's design, which is supposed to be the alternative, is nowhere near as good as the GT's.

I’d take this over a 911. The Porsche is a great car, couldn’t fault anyone for choosing it, but the AMG looks and sounds much better and the performance is more than enough for a road car.

Shorter bonnet 👎🏻 4 seats 👎🏻 Much heavier 👎🏻 SL chassis 👎🏻 2.0 liter engine option 👎🏻 RWD gone 👎🏻 Gearbox no longer at rear 👎🏻 Carbonfiber driveshaft gone 👎🏻 Huge screen 👎🏻 Unfortunately the new AMG GT is completely screwed up, better drive SL series but this car no longer is a GT. Bravo mercedes 👏👏👏
