The subwoofers are mounted in the footwells. One on the driver’s side and one on the passenger’s side. Exactly right where your left foot rests on the dead pedal that you complained about. Lol

3D is VERY expensive and I was a bit underwhelmed by this standard unit. I’ve found $400 Harmon/Kardon BMW systems to be better. This had too much bass in the floor area, an uncomfortable amount, it shakes your feet and legs.
