At the rate for the British Pound today the car would be about $32,700 USD. And if the car is coming from Mexico, hopefully the destination charge would be reasonable as well.

When you started off I was waiting for the other shoe to drop ...meaning you might say this was an EV. But happily you did not. :) So things I would change/add: AWD, more colours, add some darn power to that front passenger seat. I always find it ridiculous that many car companies don't do that. Does it really add more to the cost? I'm not sure what I think about the transmission shifter ...it looked odd in this video. The HP is fine. I was thinking you were going to say something like 140HP, but over 200 is good. Thanks for posting/sharing. Cheers!

Correction on the engine spec: Power (depending on the market) ranges between 168 to 178hp and 275 to 285nm only, NOT 225kw (301hp) 385nm. Also, you can easily pronounce it as "Sa-ic".

Its looks good and has a lot of content and features for the money. If they began selling their line in the US at a competitive price and had decent reliability they could occupy that spot that Hyundai and Kia used to. Even though its not really an MG as older Americans remember, the name might still carry something vs. "SAIC".

Some parts are produced there but not the vehicle. Also, the issue is a Chinese owned company rather than where it's built. China does not "own" Ford or GM. China does own this little car company due to the fact that the government in China owns all the companies in some respects.@@Roadbunny777
