The Mini Cooper is amazing. Three friends of mine were in a head collision with a Ford F-150 and the worst injury was a broken collar bone. Two others walked away with bumps and bruises. I am amazed at how well built these cars are made. I have to give it an A+ for safety.

I'm glad your friends were ok. I was in a head-on collision last month in my Mini R56. A Nissan Murano hit me. I walked away, but the Mini was declared totaled. :/ it's a solid car.

Love this car, I went with the electric version of this car, with all the stuff you mentioned and the iconic package. Did a rear seat delete and added some Enkei RPF1 to increase the range a bit.

Do all Minis have Hankook tires? Our last leased Mini had these tires that wore down very quickly. They were suggesting replacing at 12,000 miles. Love the car, but not these tires. Had 3 previous Minis with no tire problems.

your info includes several errors- The original Mini came in 1959( not 1961) and back then and up to 2000 was never a hatchback....The new Cooper S does NOT have a functional hood scoop. It is just for looks

i had 2005 r53 cooper s and i love hear supercharger sound...modifying supercharger pulley even gives charming sound.exterior of r53 was legend..supercharger was somethingelse...they ruined it later models...i wish designer read this that they ruined mini legacy by changing its iconic shape...look mercedes g, they never change its design except small changes...MINI designers you are the worst designer i have seen so far....

You can get low-mileage MY18-20 Cooper S that are just as fun for 20 to 25k, which is still a lot of money for such a car, but significantly less than a new MCS. They drop a lot of worth in the first years, as is with a lot of cars today.

That is a lot of money for a tin can. A car that size should get better mileage. My wife is averaging 31 mpg in her Chevy trailblazer and it is a much bigger car. I suppose if parking is a challenge, having a small car is handy. But this doesn’t check the value box
