Owned a 2019 Mini Cooper 4 Door.. Manual. Iconic Trim Standard 1.5T engine. $25k road legal cart. No need for the S... Super fun. Sold it for more than I bought it for in 2022!!! 40k for somethink like is is absolutely unsustainable.

Glad to see you reviewing a Mini 6sp❤. Went with the JCW Countryman for the space, awd, and more horses but miss the 6sp. Dont get me wrong though.. this 8spd auto is great! If only Mini would make an awd, 6sp manual, 2dr jcw, with 300 horses and 330 torque.

Cooper S is underrated from factory for insurance costs. They output 215hp and 240tq at the crank.

I found out about that back in 2007, when I bought my R56 S. Officially 172hp. Not! I was told at least 180 probably a bit more. I was working at BMW's USA head office at the time.. Mine has over 165,000 miles on it now. On a highway trip I average better than 38mpg. I'm keeping it for as long as I can. Since there is no more manual transmission option, they can keep the new ones! Mine is a 6 speed with a Limited Slip differential. The new ones all have a slush box and a sunroof. 2 things I woulds never want.

Not a single dealership in the country stocks a BRG in manual. I can't get over it. This car in an automatic is not what I want.

You keep saying that it is the less powerful version....Than the JCW, yes, but it is the S model, which is more powerful than the the base Mini Cooper.

You have got to be kidding. I drove an automatic version and I could feel every bump in the road. The ride if very rough. We went over different types of road surfaces including the freeway. It was bumpy all the way. At $40,000, it has no blind spot monitoring and you have to spend $500 extra if you want adaptable cruise control. I love how mini puts on the window sticker that refrigerant is included. As if this is special, otherwise you have to pay extra for it in order to get your A/C to run. Dealers here is LA have tons of the new electric minis. They only go 119 miles on a charge. Great if you don't go very far. Mini still has to get their act together. They are so over priced for what you get.

Electrics are a lost cause right now. For 2025, you can't get a manual trans any more. What's a MINI without a manual? I can go nearly 500 miles on a tank. So this isn't progress in my book.

What is wrong with Mini Cooper? I have a 2009 Mini Cooper it’s a mini this is getting to be too big same thing with A Porsches they’re getting too big need to start sizing down that’s what makes makes a car fun when it’s small and sporty.

I had a 2009 clubman turbo. It was great. I am 6'5' so it was pretty tight. But 4-6 times a summer I road trip. After 9 hours and 600 miles in a day it was not so great. It was kind of loud. Cramped. And the mesh sliding cover for the moonroof lets a lot of light in and in long hoiurs of bright sun you wind up squinting and it is fatiguing. But for daily commuting I kind of want one again. I hear the reliability is better and run flat tires have had big improvements.

All though not 6'5'.... I took mine on a road trip 1000 miles at a time. It does get cramped at the 600 mile mark haha. Super fun car to road trip with. Took the gal and the dog too.
