Thank you Chris for the invitation to a "poke and a feel"🤣. I felt disapointed by the launch season last year, it does feel much more positive this year. You definitely have more than your fair share of Negative Norman's in the comments though. Imagine what they'll be like in the depths of winter in January! Keep putting out the content, but maybe accept that the comments section has a yeast infection👍

Hmmm .. the single front disc set up on the KLE would suggest it's likely going to be a smaller capacity bike than the 890 and Tenere ... maybe a 450cc or 500cc to compete with the CFmoto / Kove / BMW / KTM small Adv offerings
@oliviermagere2 ай бұрын
Exactly what I thought when I saw that, and certainly hope it's the case

Yeh hopefully using the same engine as the new 500 Ninja but a bit more adapted to off-road with more torque.
@Blockbuster20332 ай бұрын
It's definitely the 450cc engine they have in the new Ninja 500. You can compare the engines from images. It's even the same radiator. 45hp. Let's hope it's not to heavy. The Z500 weighs 167kg, the minimum to stay under the 0,2kw/kg limit of the A2 license class. The KLE will definitely be heavier, it's just a question of how much heavier. I suppose it'll be around 180-190kg fully fuelled.
@exothermal.sprocket2 ай бұрын
More than likely the 451cc Ninja 500 engine. It's basically a complete rethink of the Versys-X 300, which got left behind in the old emissions regs years ago... it was never a proper match for that old 296 engine anyway.

Kawasaki just getting serious about "Adventure" bikes? KLR folks disagree 😛
@itsallabouttheridekeepingi44492 ай бұрын
The new DRZ is “ almost “ a total disappointment ☝️, firstly I may add I know in the UK and European markets you haven’t had it since around 2006 , but in Australia and US still get the “ unchanged “ 25” odd year old bike that’s been in production since 1999. So for us it’s a disappointment. WHY well one MAJOR floor is the 5 speed box still , basically the same engine with bolted on fuel injection, ABS - a good 👍 thing , and traction control- that is stupid on a 400cc trail bike , AND it’s heavier . Basically what the KLR 650 done , but with a bit less tech . No wonder the Chinese are leaving the Japanese behind now when they will not do any major updates. The newish 800 engine they made a few years back was the first new engine in over 20 years. Unfortunately the Chinese are doing to the Japanese what they did to the British manufacturing industry.
