Samson Johnson is an insane athlete. If he can develop some post moves to be able to score on his defender, becomes a more aware shot blocker and defender with better box outs to improve his rebounding he could take a big, big step as a player. He is an insanely gifted athlete. I hope he puts in the work to improve his game because he could be special.

Love this team. Sad to see them disband. One thing that never got talked about this year was how healthy this team was. There was the early season injuries for castle and Clingan, but for most of the season and all of the NCAA run they were all healthy. Not many top-tier teams can say the same.

Dan Hurley is the best coach in the country and it isn't particularly close. This UConn team, amongst other Hurley teams, play unselfish and disciplined basketball. Just an absolute beauty to watch.

Looking at this past season's team complete body of work, it's was definitely National Championship or bust. This is what team basketball at the college level looks like folks. Selfless and flawless!! If UConn keeps playing this style of BB and have the right personnel, we can see more Championships through the end of the decade. To early to say if they'll be a repeat since all 5 starters are going into the draft but one can only DREAM BIG!! :)

With the combination of a sophisticated high powered offense, a lock down defense, intelligence, unselfishness and an elite coach there is no one that can convince me this is not the best team of the last 24 years, likely the best since 1990 UNLV and in the discussion of 10 greatest teams of all time. Some will say they lost 3 times but 2 of those loses were when this team was dealing with injuries. They lost 1 game at full strength and outside of the undefeated UCLA and Indiana teams everyone loses games.

Goes to show just how special an athlete he is. 45 minute video and his plays are explosive and unforgettable. If he puts it all together next season there is no telling how good he can be. Hurley had said when he first came to Uconn that he could have the highest ceiling of any player on the roster at that time and that he had lottery potential. Supposedly hes added 20lbs and the recent workout videos showing running and dunking all over the place.

Nice to refresh my memory on how good Solo, Samson and Hassan were last year, especially early on. No doubt that we'll miss Spencer, Newton, Castle and Clingan, but our returning core of "role players" is way, way better than most team's starters. Last season as a great ride, and as a diehard fan since the beginning of the JC era. I think it was very close to, if not THE best we've ever had. But this year's team might come very close to the same level.
