I will be going to the National for the first time next week-just for one day. I have watched a couple of your videos, and they have helped me get an idea of what to expect. Is it cheaper to drop off a card at the show and have it graded and shipped to you instead of sending it to them the normal route? Thanks for your help.

It can be-you save on shipping by dropping them off and there isn’t a minimum number of cards (through my group submitter) although I think they charge $5 if submitting six or less. Waxpack Nation also offers a higher maximum value of your cards based on service level-ex: if PSA says cards up to a $499 value, Waxpack does $600. Hope you have a blast at the show!

See you in a week Brother! WOOT WOOT! i LOVE that you are slabbing the RIP SET! in regards to the one you still need unripped, have to wonder if its the Ming collectors overseas that may have a bunch of them.

I think that Ming overseas collectors having a bunch is a definite possibility-hopefully this will be the year to pick it up! See you at the show!

Hello, I will be attending my first National this year and wanted to get some veteran advice. I plan to visit 2-3 days, likely Thursday and Saturday with Sunday as my flex day if I didn't get everything accomplished or wanted to go another day. I have three objectives (in no particular order): 1. Buy singles of the players I'm looking for 2. Freebies/Giveaways/Promos 3. Enjoy the show/experience everything With my lack of experience at card shows, especially the National, I'm unsure what the best way to go about attacking these objectives. Do I make Thursday my day of "seeing everything", where I don't focus on buying cards, but rather on getting freebies and walking around? Are certain days better for buying than others? Same question for freebies/giveaways/promos. Any insight you have would be greatly appreciated. Love the videos!

@@goodforthebrand1687 I haven’t found any particular day to be better than others personally. I usually just pick an isle and walk them in order. I do pay attention to some social media and Blowout for show updates regarding promos, but also just talk to people at the show. For example, last year I saw a bunch of people flooding to the VIP area and asked. It was to meet Brian Urlacher and get a free auto.

Im going for the first time this year! I wish I could go this weekend but I work so im going Thursday. I have a question. If I have some nice cards I would be interested in selling. A mike trout dynasty auto /5 and a tatis rookie auto /10 would dealers not want them because they aren't graded? I've never sent cards to be graded before. How much does that lower the value of the card if it's not graded?

Dealers will typically search eBay comps for raw cards, look your cards over, and make an offer if it’s something they’re interested in. I suggest knowing the comps in advance as I was at a show this weekend and a dealer was quoting a comp that was $270 lower than the latest real comp on one of my cards and was a jerk. Just rolled my eyes and moved on lol.

@@AlaskaSportsCards thanks for the reply. That makes sense I've looked on ebay for trout but the tatis I haven't found any comps. Yeah I used to go to shows when I was younger and just started getting back into collecting this year really so I'm interested to see how a huge show like this goes. Hopefully most dealers there are as nice and the people on KZbin are lol

@@jprzybyszzI’ve found that most of the dealers at the National are pretty good and have found some great deals over the years. Hope that you have a blast at the show!

Hello sir, I’m attending my first national this upcoming week, I was wondering if the Wednesday (sneak peek day) has all the vendors and dealers open or if it’s less, I’m trying to go on a few days but I wanna know if Wednesday is like busy or if it’s not worth my Time! Thanks a ton
@AlaskaSportsCards3 ай бұрын
Wednesday is typically busy with vendors open, and although only 4 hours I’ve found it to be worth going. Pumped for you-it’ll be a blast!
