The Boston Celtics have assembled a superteam in the weak East this 2023-24 NBA season. They literally have an all-star starting 5 lineup featuring Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, and Derrick White. Tatum is the team's leading scorer, averaging 26.9 points per game last season. He is also a strong rebounder and passer, averaging 8.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. Brown, another talented scorer, contributes 23.0 points per game. He is also a capable defender, averaging 1.2 steals per game. Porzingis, a 7-foot-3 center, provides the Celtics with a strong inside presence. He averaged 20.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game this season. Holiday, a veteran point guard, brings experience and leadership to the team. He averaged 12.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game this season. White, a versatile guard, rounds out the starting lineup. He averaged 15.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game this season.

People used to say LeBron James had an easy path to the Finals when he was in the East. If that’s true, then what do we call the Boston Celtics’ path in 2024? 🔸No Jimmy Butler in round 1 🔸No Jarrett Allen or Donovan Mitchell in round 2 🔸No Tyrese Haliburton in Game 3 of the Conference Finals 🔸If not the Pacers, it might’ve been Milwaukee without Giannis Antetokounmpo or New York without half its team You have to play the team in front of you. Being the healthiest team is a required luck to win a championship. But the Celtics are entering a lose-lose situation now. Boston officially won their 18th championship, it could come with an asterisk from fans. This was the most injury-riddled season in NBA history. When we look back on the Boston Celtics, how will we remember them? Not hating tho just stating a point but got give them credit they did at the end

I’m a Celtics fan. I’ll start with that. But this was such a wholesome championship run. People say we had an easy path but you can only play what’s put in front of you. All of the heartbreak through the years with this team (lately) has been crushing and I loved watching their resilience all year long. Every single player and staff member contributed enormously to this. JT and JB finally proving everyone wrong. (Tatum will still always be my favorite player, I’ve had his jersey since his rookie year before he played Bron in the ECF (unfortunately bought the Kyrie #11 jersey at the same time 😬)). Brown played like a dog all year long as all the talk was about whether or not he was Robin to Tatum’s Batman and then getting snubbed for All NBA (disgraceful), I’m glad he got ECF and Finals MVP. Al Horford winning is just incredible beyond words. Derrick White and Jrue Holiday deserve more respect on their names from now on. Porzingis, man, he brings the energy Boston needed. “Even the white guys” lmao, that’s an understatement, the whole bench did this too all the way down to Tillman who hasnt been here long AT ALL. And remember that it was Danny Ainge who drafted Tatum and Brown. Brad Stevens is GOATed, don’t @ me on that one. Mazzulla deserves more respect than everyone has been showing him. His process worked, they were one of the most dominant teams in NBA history. I just really fucking wish that Marcus Smart got this too…. he truly deserves a ring. He set the culture and it breaks my heart that he didn’t get to stand up there with them on the podium tonight. Give him a ring, he deserves one. PS. It felt real fucking good to win the championship IN Boston against Kyrie…. Couldn’t have written it better myself.

Facts but Jaylen Brown hit the "clutch shots" in the 4th quarter so he "deserved it more" than Tatum. Smh 🤦♂️. Tatum averaged a near triple double in the Finals if you remove game 4 and played solid not great D while basically running the offense.

Mavs fan. I don't even feel bitter at all. 107 playoff games between Tatum and Brown, KP's success, great team bball. It was an honor to compete against y'all, the better team fair and square. Best wishes

I’ve been a Boston Celtics fan since 1990 when I was 13 years old. My sister bought me a green starter jacket with the hat to match. There were some lean years but now I got to witness them winning 2 chips in my lifetime. With this core they should get 1 or maybe 2 more.

The right person won the MVP... Boston strong 💪🏾... Tatum will get his tern.. Need more work this off-season
@ndaboolivier51275 ай бұрын
JT got robbed. JB was the best player in game 3 second half and that’s it. JT made right plays all series long. I’ll make a case for JH for MVP than JB. This is all media driven for sure. To be honest, JT deserved it, they won’t admit because it’ll take away the narrative. Now they’ll have something to talk about for a week. Watch them talk about this MVP for the next 7 days. He got robbed for sure. Points, Rb, Assists, and defense , what more do you need? You could see JB trying so hard today to outplay JT so that he can win the MVP and still couldn’t, but time and time again you saw JT passing to JB for open dunks and baskets.
@andrefuller46985 ай бұрын
Y’all realize that Tatum was not pushing for the MVP he was doing what’s best for the team draw the double team then pass the ball so get off his back now some off y’all is no different from the media
